But can what has been forsaken be gained back? Because now Evelyn, the one to have breathed vitality in his numb, orphaned heart, had her own life, and a little boy calling her mother. And while he left his life full of dead bodies behind, did that life really let him go?

Ryan's smile didn't become smaller. It only turned gentler, softening Dinaia's heart behind her tough facade. He returned to the other side of the desk, and adjust the framed picture which Dinaia had moved.

It was only after he was done that he turned to his girlfriend.

With the air now lighter, Ryan smiled light-heartedly:

"Evelyn asked for me to help her with something. She asked me to find some information for her. It was important, but I didn't manage to. My answer will certainly disappoint her, and it would be good if you were there to console her when she hears it, and better yet, when you tell her in my stead."

Dinaia gave Ryan a long look, and questioned:

"So you want me to pass the message just to be there to comfort her?"

Seeing Ryan nod, she continued, this time curiosity bleeding into her expression and her tone:
