"Why does it seem like there is a grudge between Daemon and Connel?"

Looking at Ryan who got an interesting gleam in his eyes, Dinaia continued, the desire to know not just from Evelyn, but from herself too:

"I know that they never got along during our school days, but I thought that with the time and the distance, those unpleasantness would have faded away. But now it actually seems worse than before, even though Connel helped Evelyn and Jason while Daemon was away."

As her words ended, the air stalled as Ryan gave Dinaia a peculiar look. He really could not help it, not after hearing the last part of Dinaia's words.

Before the blonde could be weirded out by his stare, he suppressed the twitching of his mouth as he asked with hesitation, placing his arm on the desk to give Dinaia a closer look:

"Dinaia, please, tell me that you did not tell Daemon to be grateful to Connel for taking care of his woman and his son while he has been away."
