Evelyn suddenly clasped her hands in front of herself, her face brightening up. She immediately provided the answer to Daemon's two-word question.
She knew that her fiance had not really been against her going to see Dinaia, nor had he been trying to be controlling. He was just showing his attitude, or in other words, throwing a tantrum, faced with her going back on her words.
She was in the wrong, and it was normal that she had to placate the two family heads. She looked at Daemon as the car moved with the traffic it had merged into, and her face held an unconscious smile as she rested her head on the headrest sideways.
Daemon did not turned around, but the word he said snapped Evelyn out of her dazed affectionate look:
"Seatbelt."
Evelyn lowered her head, and realized that she had yet to put on her seatbelt again after having taken it off to speak with her son previously. She abashedly put it back on, and looked at Daemon.
