Chapter 53: Soon to be Husband and Wife

On the morning of their wedding, Angela and Griffin woke early to a gentle knock at the door. Griffin pulled on a robe and went to answer it. A server dressed in a formal tuxedo and white gloves stood in the hallway with a breakfast cart. The smell of maple syrup and hot coffee wafted into the room. Angela smiled and rolled over in bed.

Her eye caught the garment bag hanging in front of the bathroom door. Inside was her wedding dress, a simple, but elegant lace backless gown with a fitted silhouette and matching veil. Angela had fallen in love with it the moment she’d seen it. Peter had whistled appreciatively as she glided out of the fitting room.

“It looks like it was made for you,” he said, as Angela had admired herself in the mirror.

“This is it,” Angela had beamed back at her. “I’ve found my dress.”
