Chapter 54: A Joyous Wedding

“You look incredible,” Peter gushed as he saw Angela in her wedding dress for the first time. “I’ve never seen a more beautiful bride. His eyes glistened as he watched her twirl across the floor like a little girl. “George is going to be green with envy when I tell him you gave me a sneak peek. He still tries to take credit for bringing you two together at our place for dinner. I don’t have the heart to remind him that you two were already well-acquainted long before we came into the picture.”

“If you told me then that Griffin and I would be getting married today, I would have said you’re crazy,” Angela laughed. “Isn’t it funny how things work out in the end?”

“Life is a mystery,” Peter said.

“I wanted you to see how the alterations turned out,” Angela said, admiring herself in the mirror. “ The fabric clung flatteringly to her slender body, outlining her curves without being too revealing.
