I initially moved to Queensland, Australia simply to start anew and had hoped that we wouldn't be repeating history, but yet here we are repeating history unfortunately. And so it begins again... homelessness. I was allowed back at the SIL accommodation as it was only Sunday but had to be out the following day, and because I brought a friend around who was also homeless, the carers refused my friend entry to the property but allowed me in. Basically leaving me with a roof over my head for a night, but sadly they were willing to leave my friend out on the streets, but I wasn't going to allow that to happen so I said to the carers "It's either us two in the house or neither of us" because I wasn't going to allow my friend to sleep alone on the streets. And they basically reiterated what they previously stated so because I refused to allow my friend to sleep on the streets, I joined them. It was pitch black dark and it was rather cold and so the journey of being homeless for me once began again. We walked for a while struggling to find somewhere to set up camp, where we wouldn't get in shit for. First stop was a fast food restaurant where we chilled at for a couple hours or more then we walked up to the hospital across the road and sat there for few minutes before being kicked off the premises by hospital security, which we both thought was fucked. This friend of mine, I had only been introduced to her today (Sunday) by my other friend and her partner. My new friend was also transgender male to female (transitioning from a male to a female) like me so knowing someone going through the same changes as I was was rather comforting. But getting back on track, due to being kicked off hospital premises by hospital security we had no other choice but to walk again and find some place else to sleep for the night. We ended up walking past a very scary looking park that gave us both the heebie jeebies, and in this park was an abandoned car which we walked up to to investigate but ended up shitting ourselves and ran off. Once we realised we were in the clear, we came up to what looked like a farm with a horse that came up to us as we approached the fence, we patted it and gave it some grass before walking down to the bus station where we chilled for a while before continuing our journey in search for some form of shelter. It felt like we had been walking for hours, when realistically we actually hadn't been walking for long, eventually we could see the main highway and an Ikea store that was home to an underground carpark which my friend thought would be decent for shelter for a night I was not fully on board with the idea of sleeping in a pitch black underground car park which just sent chills down by spine. But I was too fucking exhausted to argue, and besides we had nowhere else to stay it was this or continue walking. We had to jump a few hurdles to access the car park, we walked through the carpark before setting up camp for the night. I may be homeless but that does not prevent me from taking my antidepressants. Once my medication was consumed, I had to pee before sleeping. Surprisingly I slept like a log despite it being somewhat rough. I was awoken by my friend and we set course for a nearby shopping centre where we waited for her support worker to come and pick us up.
