CHAPTER EIGHT: The unexpected twist

Kenji's eyes widened as he heard the news. "Two days? That's impossible!" He rushed to tell the others, his mind racing with the implications.

Yasu and Suzuki exchanged worried glances. "What's wrong?" Yasu asked, sensing Kenji's distress.

"The deadline for the BGC entry has been shifted to two days," Kenji replied, his voice laced with concern.

Suzuki's expression turned grim. "I knew something was off. It couldn't have been that easy."

Yasu's eyes sparkled with determination. "So what do we do now? We haven't raised enough funds to join the BGC yet."

Suzuki's face lit up with a plan. "Come with me." He led them to the bank, his pace quick and purposeful.

Yasu's curiosity got the better of her. "Are we going to apply for a loan?"

Suzuki chuckled. "Of course not. As a businessman, I always prepare for the worst-case scenario." He revealed a savings account registered in the company's name, designed for financial crises like this.

Kenji's eyes widened in surprise. "Wow, that's really helpful. We need it now more than ever."

Yasu nodded, her eyes shining with gratitude. "Yes, and it's enough to register for the BGC if we add it to the amount we've raised."

Suzuki withdrew the money, his expression confident. "Let's go show them what we're made of."

As they headed to the meeting with the organizers, they were ambushed by thugs. Kenji stood tall, his eyes flashing with determination. "Let us pass."

The thugs sneered, but Kenji's bravery left them stunned. He handed the briefcase to Yasu and took down the thugs with ease.

Meanwhile, the thugs reported back to their employer - Yami. His face contorted with rage and disbelief. "What happened?!"

The thugs cowered, recounting their defeat. Yami's anger boiled over. "He's a fighter? That's impossible!"

Noburo intervened, his voice calm and soothing. "Don't worry, Yami. He's no match for our company's fighter."

Yami's eyes narrowed, his mind plotting. "He better not be. I invested too much in that special skill."

Little did Yami know, Noburo's casual phrase "don't worry" would become a haunting refrain in his future problems.
