I stared at the note in my hand, rereading Carmen's message as if the words would somehow change into "Stay in bed and let me cuddle you all day."
But no, she had set up a scavenger hunt, and if there was one thing I knew about Carmen, it was that she loved to make things dramatic.
There was just one small problem.
I didn't drive.
I sighed, grabbing my phone from the nightstand and scrolling through my contacts until I found Isabel's name.
I pressed the call button and brought the phone to my ear, already bracing myself.
The moment she picked up, I didn't even get a chance to say hello.
"Are you calling me because you need a ride somewhere?" Isabel's voice was suspicious. "Because I swear, if you need me to be your personal chauffeur again—"
"Okay, first of all," I interrupted, sitting up in bed. "You are my assistant, which means helping me is literally in your job description."
