Chapter 7 CHAPTER

　　“Good morning Dr. Josh!” it’s a new morning again.

　　“Oh hi Dr. Aera! You always look good in the morning!” He walked down with me at the hallway side by side when we heard a loud commotion going on at the emergency room next to us.

　　Scrambling my feet, I left Dr. Josh without saying a word and when I entered emergency room, I saw a man in suit with his shoulder full of blood and I saw one of his men lifted his fist to punch the trembling Dr. Boo.

　　I ran towards them to grab his arm and throw him aside. “This is a place for patients! If you want your boss to get treated, you have to wait outside!” Everyone was surprised with my sudden action.

　　“No! I’m not accepting any treatment from you! Tell me what you can do? You’re nothing but a weak useless woman!” the boss in black suit seethed.

　　He was one of a scary man but I didn’t mind at all. “You are the patient here and I am the doctor! This is a hospital and you have to follow my orders! Do you understand me?" I muttered as I point my fingers to all of his men. “And I’ll tell you once again, stay outside!”

　　I ordered them to wait for their boss to get treated and wait outside but they refused to listen to me. Instead, they hold my arms and drag me out of the emergency room.

　　Without thinking twice, I flip the one that was on my right and throw the other man on my left. I single-handedly wiped out the whole gang at one point tackling three men with my fighting skills.

　　Thanks to my brother Cheol for forcing me to enrol martial arts for my self-defense. “I’m sorry guys, I’ll treat your wounds later after your boss.”

　　“How could you all been so stupid!” the boss seethed, fury burning his core.

　　The gang finally decided to treat their boss’ wounds but threatened me if someone happened to him. I just shrugged at them and started attending their boss.

　　After an hour of treatment, he fell asleep. I instructed nurse Jihoon to put him in a private room and the gangsters followed them and guarded their boss room.

　　It was late afternoon and was checking some files in my room when I heard a knock on my door. “Come in!”

　　"Hi Dr. Aera, I just want to thank you for saving me this morning.” Dr. Boo’s smiling aura revealed as he came closer to my table. “ I never thought you were good in martial arts. I really don’t know what to do if I got bruise on my beautiful face, Oh my God!”

　　I laugh at his statement. “You will still look handsome Dr. Boo don’t you worry.”

　　“Well, can I invite you later? Let’s have a dinner?” he asked making me stunned for a moment. Is he taking me out for a date?

　　“Oh..I’m sorry Dr. Boo but-“

　　“Please? Don’t worry, someone will join us too.” Then Dr. Josh suddenly entered in my opened door smiling, a wicked gleam lit up his eyes.

　　“Are you guys ready?” he asked.

　　“Ok then, let’s go!” I stated making them surprised when I held their hands and made our way to the parking lot.

　　We used Dr. Josh’s car to get in the restaurant just a kilometre away from the hospital. We sat outside the restaurant with a big umbrella and a round table since it was already full inside.

　　“I assure you Dr. Aera, they have the best food here.” Dr. boo started as he pulled the chair for me.

　　“Oh..I’m excited! I rarely eat Korean foods in San Francisco since there’s only one Korean Restaurant in our place and it takes 1 hour to drive there.”

　　“Do you want to order soju?” Dr. Josh asked me.

　　“I’m sorry but I don’t drink.”

　　“What? You’re loosing half of your life Dr. Aera. You have to try it!” Dr. Boo insisted.

　　“Oh my god! Now I know Dr. Jun isn’t joking when he said you’ll drag me out drinking alcohol.” I eyed him suspiciously.

　　“Hahaha! Well, not everyday though. He was exaggerating!”

　　We started eating when the food arrived. The food is great! I will definitely come back here if I have some time.

　　“So tell me Dr. Aera, do you have a boyfriend left in California?” Dr. Josh asked me as he put kimchi on my plate.

　　“Nah..I’m single, just an imaginary boyfriend.” And I giggled.

　　“What do you mean?” Dr. Boo stared at me.

　　“Oh nothing! Just forget what I’ve said.” I ignored him and continued eating my lobster.

　　“Well, do you know that Dr. Josh here is very much in love for a very long time ago? Unfortunately, that girl likes someone else!”

　　“Yeah, I know! Dr. Jennie?” I blurted out.

　　“Wah!!! How did you know?”

　　“Well, I can see the way Dr. Josh looks at her.” I told them.

　　“But she likes Dr. Jun.” Dr. Josh looks so sad.

　　“But Dr. Jun doesn’t like her! How pathetic hahaha!” We burst out laughing with what Dr. Boo just said. We were enjoying our food when an officer came near us and suddenly put handcuffs on Dr. Boo’s wrist.

　　I stand up from my seat and stop the officer. “Wait!”

　　“Oh Doctor it’s see you again!” the arrogant officer smirked.

　　“What did my friend do? You can’t arrest him just like that!”

　　“Why not? He stole a wallet!”

　　“What? No! We were just eating here! How could you even say that?” I stated firmly.

　　Officer Jeon then grabbed the wallet behind Dr. Boo and slammed it on the table. “That’s not mine!” Dr. Boo’s eyes widened. He looks scared.

　　“Exactly! Because you stole it!” Officer Jeon locked the handcuffs and pulled Dr. Boo away from us.

　　“Wait! Wait Mr. Officer! Can we just talk about it first? Maybe the one who stole it put behind Dr. Boo. You know we are doctors, why would we steal anything?” Dr. Josh also tried to stop Officer Jeon.

　　“You can go to the station and explain your side. For now, I have to take your friend and temporarily put him in jail.”

　　“Oh hell no!” Dr. Boo’s about to cry now thinking he will spend a night inside the jail.

　　“Dr. Josh, you go with them, I’ll follow later. I have to talk to the owner of this restaurant.” I instructed him. I stared at Officer Jeon but he ignored me taking Dr. Boo and Dr. Josh followed them.

　　I asked permission to the owner to look for the CCTV footage and there I saw a teenage boy walking back and forth near our table until he saw Officer Jeon coming towards him. He put the wallet behind Dr. Boo and run away.

　　I get a copy of it on my phone and leave the restaurant after thanking the owner. “Dr. Josh, what station are you? I’m on a cab now, on my way there!” I asked Dr. Josh from the phone as I was sitting inside the cab.

　　When I reached the police station, I saw Dr. Josh talking to Officer Jeon and Dr. Boo was seated in the interrogation room with two officers talking to him.

　　“Dr. Josh, I’ve got the footage!” I hurriedly walk towards him and showed him my phone.

　　“This kid again!” Officer Jeon who is also watching on my phone shouted.

　　“This kid is such a pain in the ass!” another officer came near us. “Why can’t we catch him!”

　　After a minute of analyzing the situation, they finally released Dr. Boo. He came closer to me and hug me as I patted his head gently. “Thank you so much Dr. Aera, you’re really my angel!”

　　We walked our way out when I heard a deep voice called me. “Doctor!”

　　“What?!” I turn to look at him.

　　“Dr. Boo, I’m sorry!” I felt my cheeks reddened as Officer Jeon asked forgiveness to Dr. Boo.

　　“It’s okay Officer, just be careful next time.” I rolled my eyes when I see Dr. Boo batted his eyelashes and tuck his hair behind his ear. Regaining my breath as I blush bright from the embarrassment, I turn around stepping forward when I heard his voice again.

　　“Do you want to ride with me? I’m going home now.” I turn around to make sure he’s talking to me this time and I met his deep and soft eyes looking at me apologetically. I look at my side only to find the two doctors eyeing me suspiciously waiting for my answer.

　　“No thanks!” I pulled them both in the arms and get out of the station immediately.
