ROSS’ POV
“Why didn’t I know about this?” Diego asked shockingly as he stared over the pale look on my face, finishing the story. “What happened to the girl?”
“Miggy drove away from the scene, leaving the girl on the road. And everything was kept anonymous so, we don’t even know who it was.” I closed my eyes, feeling dread fill in my stomach, remembering vividly what happened that night.
“Shit!” Diego brushed his hands over his face, looking down at the cup of his coffee on the table. “I couldn’t imagine Miggy just did that.”
“That night, Miggy drove to Caleb’s apartment but Caleb went to my house, soaked in the rain. I was wondering what’s going on because he looked like a mess, and his voice sounded dead. He was crying, saying that someone was dead. He was telling me that Miggy would lose everything.” I continued.
I remembered just how scared Caleb was that night. It broke my heart to see a young man break down in front of me like a kid, watching him suffer.
