CHLOE’s POV
I was feeling hopeless and defeated. I don’t think I’ll be able to get away from this family much longer. I won't be seeing Easton again... He's not going to see me either... I'll no longer be able to hear his explanation.

‘‘Let her go!’’ she shouted and her father who was still carrying me, turned around to face her. I heard him chuckle before he responded to his daughter. ‘‘And who are you to order me like that… huh?!”
‘‘I am your daughter!’’ she screamed, her face now filled with tears. ‘‘You always think about Avery! Avery here, Avery there! I’m also your daughter dad!’’
I felt the old man’s hold on me gradually loosen, until he set me down on the ground. ‘‘I’m sorry…’’ he said. ‘‘I just… I just miss your sister, and when I saw her…’’ His gaze focused on me. ‘‘Can’t you see? She looks like Avery! She’s coming home with us!’’
