Confronted with questions from the Third Class and other forces, Sun Jack had nothing to hide and straightforwardly sent over the video records.
In fact, there wasn't much to investigate; furthermore, Sun Jack hadn't even taken part in the face-to-face battle between the Third Class and the Poet. Even if he wanted to reveal any information, there wasn't anything to disclose.
After the various parties had reviewed the footage, they finally relaxed considerably upon confirming that Sun Jack was simply trying to find a way to negotiate with the Poet.
"Scared like that, huh? What, you thought I was surrendering to the other side by contacting the Poet?" Sun Jack looked disdainfully at the several people on the system interface.
"Given that humanity's safety is at stake, nothing is trivial. We hope you can understand that, Jack," San Jiao interjected, trying to smooth things over.
"Am I not a human?"
At that moment, the spokesperson for DF23 spoke up. "How naive, Sun Jack. You cannot gain at the negotiating table what you couldn't get on the battlefield. We must use all means necessary, including military force, to completely resolve this AI Crisis."
"Resolve the AI Crisis with sheer force? Then let me ask you about The Previous Era when humans were spread all over the globe, with technology far more developed than ours: did they win?" Sun Jack directly challenged him.
Then he turned his criticism towards San Jiao, "You don't want us getting involved, fine, I won't ask. But I will ask you, what are your chances of defeating the Poet in combat, even with our troops, even after the Third Class has been preparing for a thousand years?"
"If you are confident that you can thoroughly handle the Poet, I'd be overjoyed. But I'm asking you, can you really do it? The last time the Smart Coalition crisis turned Earth into this mess, what do you plan to turn it into this time?"
After a pause, San Jiao responded, "Indeed, we do not have the certainty of victory. Combating Omega 31 isn't just a matter for the Third Class; it concerns all of humanity. This is just the beginning. The fighting will only get more intense, as Omega 31's strength is currently unknown. All we can do is give it our all and fight to the end."
"Whatever..." Sun Jack didn't want to see that face anymore.
From their attitude, Sun Jack understood that this was probably just the start. Once both sides fully exerted their power and dragged everyone into it, he feared it was uncertain how many people would remain on Earth even if they won.
Extremely irritated, he shut off the communication and then the sensor door to Sun Jack's office opened. Enveloped in a cloud of smoke, he headed towards the elevator and walked to the main hall's doors.
Stepping outside, he felt the acidic rain slapping his face as he watched the ever-reconstructing Metropolis.
If they really followed the Third Class's plan, how many times would the Metropolis need to be destroyed? Was there any point in continuing these repairs?
Just then, a group of workers walked by, muttering as they went, "Shit, the quality at the brothels is getting worse."
"Indeed, there's a shortage of people everywhere in the Metropolis. I saw a woman soliciting while she was on the job; they don't even take a break, both their mouths can't stay idle."
"It's one thing with the flesh and feathers, but damn it, Sun Jack even banned AIs. My sex doll is as good as a piece of wood now, it's a total waste."
"Ah, there's nothing Sun Jack can do, after all, it's the fucking AI Crisis."
"Shit, these damned Awakened AIs, don't let me catch one. If I do, I'll install it in my sex doll and screw it till its eyes roll back and it froths at the mouth!"
Although Metropolis was unrecognizable, with heavy casualties, the sense of relaxation within Metropolis seemed to come into effect at this moment, and there was no sadness on anyone's face; they still lived their lives heartlessly, looking for their own fun.
Even without any assistive AI, making things very inconvenient, Sun Jack could see that everyone was earnestly and vigorously working in the face of this major crisis.
The so-called execution deviations that had previously been a concern didn't appear at all now.
And all the problems that had cropped up before were now pressed down in the face of humanity's survival.
Seeing that nobody spared the time to prop up his collapsing statue, Sun Jack suddenly turned and walked away.
"Where are we going?" Tapai, who was following behind, asked.
Sun Jack pinched the cigarette butt at the corner of his mouth and flung it hard into a puddle nearby, his eyes regaining determination.
"Seeing this statue, I suddenly remembered something, who the hell is he to decide? Since the plan is mine, why should it need his consent? Go call AA over! What I said just now wasn't all talk, if he doesn't want to do it the easy way, then we'll do it the hard way!"
Seeing Sun Jack's retreating back, Tapai immediately understood that the other party had come up with some new idea.
Soon, in the office, three AAs stood holding hands in front of Sun Jack. "Boss, what did you call us here for?"
While they asked Sun Jack, it was obvious that their eyes were fixed on Tapai, who had switched to a new body, and from time to time the three of them whispered to each other with slightly flushed cheeks.
Sun Jack snapped his fingers several times to draw their attention. "AA, aren't you good at making nuclear bombs?"
"Um... It's not really my specialty, it's just that its construction is rather simple. Boss, why do you ask?"
"I need you to help me build a super-powerful nuclear bomb, can you do it?"
"Boss, that description is too vague, how powerful are we talking in terms of yield?" AA asked as she walked over to Tapai, poked her gently, then immediately wrapped her arms around her in a strong hug.
"I don't know the exact yield, but the power of this bomb must be able to completely destroy the entire Earth!" His words stunned everyone present.
"AA, I'm asking you, can you do it or not?" Sun Jack continued to urge.
AA spoke hesitantly, "That... I have to check if the Utopia Federation has enough materials."
"Fuck, what the hell are you doing? Sun Jack, is it the Poet's AI Crisis or your fucking AI Crisis? You want to destroy Earth?" Tapai, who was pressing her hand on AA's head, asked in surprise.
Sun Jack revealed his plan, "As I just said, there's nothing fundamentally wrong with the Utopia plan. Whether the Poet agrees or not isn't important. If he agrees, all the better. If he doesn't, I'll make him agree!"
"He wants Earth's beautiful nature, right? Fine, I might even help him with that, but only if humanity survives. If his beautiful new world doesn't include humans, then he can forget about it!"
"Unless he agrees to my plan, the moment humanity goes extinct will be the day Earth is destroyed!!"
