After hearing Sun Jack's earth-shattering plan, Tapai, who was beside him, stroked his chin, pondering thoughtfully as he watched Sun Jack. After a long time, he slowly spoke.
"You've been watching 'Three Body,' haven't you?"
"Never mind what I've watched. Just tell me if the plan is useful. A lose-lose is always better than a win-lose," Sun Jack said, then turned his head to look at AA.
"What do you think? Can you handle a nuclear bomb that could blow up the entire Earth? Remember, it has to be one that destroys the entire Earth, not just the surface. The Poets hiding beneath the crust will certainly revive if we only destroy the surface."
"Boss, this is really a bit too much," AA said, looking up helplessly. Honestly, she had done all sorts of things, but a weapon that destroys Earth? That, she had never handled.
"If it's difficult, then find a way. Where there's a will, there's a way. If the Moon can explode, destroying the entire Earth, I believe you have the capability."
Sun Jack patted AA on the shoulder, encouraging her.
"Damn, Jack, you really sound like a villain," Tapai teased from the side.
"Get lost." Sun Jack cursed at him, then turned to AA, "Go on, good luck, I'm waiting for your good news."
"Alright, I'll go back and think of something," AA walked away downcast, and Sun Jack watched her retreating figure, slowly taking a drag on his cigarette.
Once he had made up his mind to act, Sun Jack did not hesitate and the sooner the better. Should the Poet accidentally learn about it, he would surely hinder the plan.
With his rapid deployment, the entire Utopia Federation started to move around his new plan, providing all the materials and authorization as a priority to support AA's logistics.
While Sun Jack was resolutely preparing his deterrent plan, Tapai was busy with her own affairs.
Sun Jack had his plan, and she had hers.
Inside the vast military Dissolution Cave, only half of a Mechanical Worm lay.
Cables draped down from all around, connecting quickly to the giant Mechanical Worm like so many tentacles.
At the control panel, Tapai's fingers were flying swiftly over the keyboard,
"Okay, let's see what's really going on here." After putting virtual protections and absolute physical isolation in place, Tapai began to hack aggressively.
Regardless of how well the Overlapping AIs were chatting with Sun Jack or whether his plan would succeed, she had to make preparations for every eventuality.
Right now, she was starting to crack the Poet's worm using the methods she knew best.
Though she was a bit unaccustomed to this body made of flesh, Tapai was increasingly managing to skillfully control it.
Now she could study the Poets' programming language and network protocols, as well as the entire control system, from various angles without fearing backlash.
Under Tapai's operation, the system on the Mechanical Worm began to be deciphered, all the code and programs analyzed by Tapai from the most basic language layer.
"Ternary, huh? Damn, it seems different from the mainstream ternary language."
Tapai stared at the code in front of her, trying to sort out the logic of each layer, wholly absorbed in her work.
But as she delved deeper, she suddenly realized that her own brain was limiting her. Although her unconnected brain no longer feared any intrusion after changing bodies, the price was that she could no longer expand her memory and computing power.
Facing the situation that required a massive amount of analysis and computation, her single brain was simply not enough.
"Looks like I'll need a few more brains."
As soon as she sent a message, the Network Security Department sprang into action, joining Tapai's decryption project. These personnel became her new brain, starting to decipher and study the Poet's technology under her command.
After some effort, although she didn't find a perfect solution, Tapai found another way.
A huge Hover Car descended from above the cave, and as the car doors opened, clones' brains soaked in nutrient solution appeared before her.
She reached out and took one of the brains she had programmed, opened the Mechanical Worm beside her, and stuffed a new, pulsing brain inside its body.
As more and more brains were inserted, the Mechanical Worm began to stir.
When a dozen connected brains were installed inside the Mechanical Worm, accompanied by the grating sound of metal sliding on the ground, the brain-equipped worm somehow shakily stood up.
Unfortunately, this state did not last long. With a roaring sound, the giant worm fell heavily to the ground and was motionless.
"No good, it's not enough, we're unable to fully understand the Poet's software. Therefore, we can't imitate it perfectly through the firmware."
Tapai turned to Xiao Ting beside her. "Besides you, I need more helpers."
As an expert on brains, Xiao Ting was undoubtedly coming to help.
"I think the Third Class would be better at this, but why do you insist on breaking into the Poet's network? It's quite nice this way. Without a network, at least half of the AI Crisis threat is gone."
"We can't avoid using the network or hiding from the Poet forever."
"Why do you insist on competing with others' strengths? What, are you not used to being human, or do you feel like going back to being a Guardian Robot?"
Tapai shook her head. She stood on the Mechanical Worm, pulling out the overheated brains that were almost burnt silly.
She recalled the recent events around Sun Jie.
"I must take back control of the network; I'm good at it, and it's where I can be most useful. I don't think the Utopia Federation currently lacks a woman's fighting power."
"That's your only reason?"
Tapai thought for a moment and spoke again, "A clean network that the Poet cannot invade would allow Sun Jie to 'Clone Jump' between different clones. Otherwise, he is too vulnerable now. The Poet almost succeeded before."
After hearing this, Xiao Ting looked thoughtfully at Tapai, "Are you so concerned about his safety?"
"Of course, I am a Guardian Robot, protecting him is my goal."
"Hmph, 'protecting him is my goal.'" Xiao Ting mockingly repeated, rolling her eyes.
"You're human now, alright? Whatever goals you want to set for yourself, you set them. Robot protocols no longer restrict you at all, and Sun Jie can't control you either."
