Watch your language!

Rose nearly yelled out loud when she heard that.

Turning down a hundred billion just to keep peace in Europe, mediating between a few major countries to prevent conflict—it would've been a piece of cake for him!

With his prestige, just his presence in Europe would keep everyone in line. That's the respect he commanded!

And yet, he turned it down. Even if he didn't take the job in Europe, he should be up in high ranks somewhere prestigious.

But no, he's doing security!

Meanwhile, on some unnamed island.

A woman sat in front of a villa, wine in her left hand, phone in her right, shaking with anger.

The real rich and powerful don't just buy cars and houses anymore; they buy their own islands, build villas, hire dozens or even hundreds of servants, and live like kings in their own little paradises.

"Hang up on me?!"

"I've never been hung up on by a man in my life!"

"Find out where this 'Mortal Demon' Gibson is!"

"I want to see who can afford to hire Mr. Barton!"

Over in Starfall City.

Security Department.

A bunch of guys in tank tops and flip-flops were playing cards inside a room.

This department was the least respected in the whole company, but also the most laid-back. All they had to do was make rounds every couple of hours during the day—check the warehouse, the main gate, the front door, the women's dorms, then clock out on time with great benefits and overtime pay.

Ironically, these security guards might be earning more than the white-collar workers upstairs pounding away at their keyboards.

"Damn! Did you hear that the guy who messed with us yesterday is the boss's relative?"

"I heard he was her fiancé!"

"What? I thought they were already married with kids!"

"..."

Smack—!

A bald guy with a cigarette slapped the table angrily, "I don't care who he is. If he dares to come around here again, I'll make sure he regrets it!"

Bang!

Just then, the door to the security room was kicked open.

"Fucking hell, who is it?!"

But no one dared to make a sound.

Only the bald guy stood up, fuming, "The hell, let's see who it is..."

And when he turned around, his face went pale.

Damn!

Speak of the devil!

"You looking for me?" Gibson said with a smirk, his presence oozing authority.

His voice carried a chilling edge, sending shivers down your spine just from hearing it.

As Gibson slowly closed the door, the bald guy started trembling.

"No, no, no, bro, I was just messing around, just a joke, bro—!"

...

CEO's office.

Sonia was still reeling from the shock of discovering Gibson's identity. She thought her grandpa had just picked up some ex-con, but turns out, the guy was a genius from back in the day, supremely talented.

"Isn't it kind of a waste to have him working as a security guard?"

Ding ding ding—!

Just then, her office phone rang.

She quickly picked up the receiver, but within a few seconds, she stood up, exclaiming in shock, "What?! The drugs have been seized?! Okay, I'm on my way to the warehouse now!"

Ever since her dad cracked the human genetic code, her company had been in constant turmoil.

If it wasn't someone sneaking contraband into their shipments, it was their goods ending up in the river, overturned trucks, or even fires—nothing had been going smoothly lately.

For the past two months, Wind Group had been operating at a loss, all because some people were pressing her to hand over something.

Even though Sonia had no clue what her father had left behind or where it was, she knew the more desperate these people got, the more crucial that thing had to be.

If it got out, it could potentially cause global upheaval.

If the technology for immortality broke through, humans would reproduce limitlessly. The rich controlling this technology would dominate the lower classes, and it was only a matter of time before things exploded.

In a basement in Starfall City.

Smack—!

A middle-aged man furiously slapped a young man.

"You idiot, didn't you tell me that the bug was the latest model? Why was it found?!"

Just yesterday, all the bugs they planted near Sonia had failed!

The young man, roughed up on the floor, slowly stood up, "She has a master by her side!"

"A bunch of useless fools! Can't even handle one woman, what good are you?"

"I'll give you one more chance, mess it up again, I will kill you!"

"..."

As Sonia headed down to the warehouse, she glanced at the security office almost instinctively.

Those security guys were notorious tough nuts, and just yesterday, Gibson had reportedly thrashed them.

She approached the door and gently pushed it open, but what she saw next completely dumbfounded her.

Everyone was shirtless, squatting in horse stance, legs trembling with acidity, yet no one dared to stand up.

And there was Gibson, feet propped up on the back of the bald muscular guy who lay prostrate in front of him.

One hand holding an ashtray, the other a teacup!

Leaning back in his chair, magazine in hand, Gibson commanded in a calm yet authoritative tone, "Second one on the left, give me twenty push-ups now!"

Despite clearly being at his limit, hands shaking, the man respectfully lowered his head and responded, "Yes...!"

Sonia burst out, "What are you doing listening to him? Get up, all of you, get up!"

Sonia stood in the wind, completely dumbfounded.

The security at the pharmaceutical company had to be top-notch—most of the guards were trained professionals.

But what was this situation now?!

"Everyone get up!" Sonia shouted when nobody paid attention to her.

Still ignored, she stepped forward and pulled someone up, but the moment Gibson coughed, that person immediately squatted back down into the horse stance.

That's when it hit her—within just about half an hour, the entire security department was listening to him!

This was outrageous!

If they made him CEO, he'd probably replace her in a day!

Thinking about it made Sonia's scalp tingle; this guy was terrifyingly impressive.

Indeed, a genius is a genius anywhere, and that sense of superiority that sets them above the rest never fades.

"You, tell them to get up!" Sonia pointed at Gibson and yelled, "It's your first day and you're already bullying your colleagues!"

Gibson slowly took his legs off the bald man, smirked, and said coldly, "Watch your language! And who said I was bullying them?"
