Kendrick's step sister

Regina's thoughts drifted back to her tumultuous childhood in New York, where she always felt like the unloved child. Her parents' disdain for her seemed to stem from an absurd reason, one that she had uncovered. The truth was, her mother was a con artist who had manipulated Kendrick's father, leaving him heartbroken and raising Kendrick alone.

Kendrick was never her biological brother; he was her stepbrother, born to a different mother who had passed away shortly after his birth. Her mother had been involved with Kendrick's father, exploiting him for her own gain, and leaving him without a second thought.

Months later, when her mother discovered she was pregnant with Regina, she tried to contact Kendrick's father, threatening to abandon the baby unless he took responsibility. The revelation was a harsh one, and Regina felt a mix of emotions: anger, sadness, and a deep sense of rejection.

No wonder her parents had always made her feel unwanted, like a burden they couldn't shake off. They had never loved her; she was just a product of her mother's deceit, a constant reminder of their own shortcomings. Regina's heart ached when she finally understood the reason behind her parents' animosity towards her.

She was a living proof of their own failures, and they had made her pay for it.

Regina's thoughts continued to unravel the tangled lines of her family's secrets. Her biological father, eager to connect with her, had attempted to reach out, but her mother had callously rebuffed him. Despite this, her mother had continued to exploit him, sending proof of Regina's paternity and milking him for financial support over the years.

The irony was cruel - her mother had kept Regina's existence a secret from her husband, yet had used her as a pawn to extort money from her biological father. It seemed that the only reason her parents had provided for her was because of her biological father's consistent investments in her well-being. They had no genuine interest in her life, only seeing her as a means to an end.

And then, they betrayed her by her planning to marry her off as a wife to a heartless man in exchange for a lucrative contract. Regina's heart seethed with anger and hurt as she realized the truth.

She was nothing more than a commodity to her parents, a tool to be used for their own gain. The thought was suffocating, and Regina would felt like she was drowning in a sea of deceit and manipulation, but she couldn't let herself be hurt by them anymore, they were no longer in her heart…

As Regina sat in her cozy room, surrounded by the quiet of the evening, she gazed out the window, lost in thought. It was Sunday, and she knew that by tomorrow, they would be arriving in New York. A soft smile spread across her face, and she let out a deep, throaty chuckle, savoring the moment.

She closed the book she was holding, her mind no longer focused on the words on the page. Instead, she was preoccupied with the reunion that awaited her in New York. It wasn't a joyous occasion that brought her back, but she was going there to fix that anyway.

Despite the tumultuous reasons, Regina's heart swelled with excitement at the prospect of reconnecting with someone she had deeply missed. She was determined to make the most of this opportunity, to fix the broken pieces and mend the relationships that had been fractured by deceit and manipulation.

With a sense of resolve, Regina stood up, her eyes still shining with a mix of emotions. She knew that the journey ahead would be challenging, but she was ready to face it head-on, armed with courage and a determination to reclaim her past.

Regina's mind wandered to her children, and she couldn't help but frown as she thought about how they were the spitting image of their father. The twins, with their exceptional white hair that refused to take dye, were a constant reminder of their paternal heritage.

Their deep blue eyes, sparkling with curiosity and intelligence, were a trait they had inherited from their father, and it made Regina's heart ache a little.

Their outstanding beauty was not just a physical attribute, but also a reflection of their inner selves. Regina saw so much of their father in them - his intelligence, and his infectious smile. It was as if they had taken the best parts of him and made them their own… It always made her remember the night when her entire life changed.

Regina's thoughts were filled with memories of her children's antics, their laughter, and their unwavering optimism. She remembered the way they would curl up beside her, when they were a little younger. Their white hair is a stark contrast to her own dark locks, and their deep blue eyes shining with adoration.

" Mmm, that's going to be a problem though." She heaved a soft sigh and pressed her lips into a thin line.

" I need to find a way to cover them up well." Regina tilted her head to the side a little, wondering if she was any different from her mother… She was keeping the children away from their biological father.

Well, it's for a good cause though. She assured herself and took out her phone. She usually monitors her children's activities from her phone every now and then. Her eyes squinted a little.

Diane seemed to be streaming a Japanese kids cartoon she's becoming quite obsessed with. Eric wasn't with his phone, so she deduced that he must be reading… That's what he found fun anyway.

Collins???? She hacked her daughter's phone to get a grip on their real time conversation.

" Eric, stop being such a nerd, be just like me. I don't read much, yet I'm still the smartest in my class."

Regina frowned a little… that's definitely Collins. His voice was quite clear so she deduced that he must be sitting right next to Diane. He was probably watching with Diane.

She turned off her phone. They were just kids after all.
