I don't like you

Diane's excitement was obvious as she stepped off the plane, her eyes wide with wonder. She had never been outside of their state before, and the fact that her mother had agreed to take them on this trip was still surreal. Her friend Collins, who shared her passion for Japanese cartoons, was by her side, grinning from ear to ear. Eric, was also part of the group, though he seemed more subdued, nose-deep in a book as usual.

As they made their way through the bustling airport, Diane's gaze darted from one fascinating sight to another. She had been to airports before, but only to drop off her mother for her "operations".

She had never actually traveled herself, and the thrill of it all was almost too much to contain. She squealed with delight, throwing her hands up in the air as she took in the unfamiliar sights and sounds.

The sheer scale of the airport, the diverse crowd, and the hum of activity all blended together to create an exhilarating experience for Diane. She felt like a kid in a candy store, eager to explore every nook and cranny.

Collins chuckled at her antics, happy to be along for the ride, while Eric looked up from his book, a hint of a smile on his face. Their mother watched her children with a warm heart, glad to see them so carefree and joyful.

" Come on, drop that silly book already, you look so stupid." Collins complained and almost rolled his eyes. " That doesn't really make you look 'cool' just so you know." He complained with a frown and clicked his tounge in annoyance.

Regina knew better though. Her son's introverted personality could be a said reason. She deduced that he kept his gaze glued to the book, not because he was actually reading, but was avoiding the gaze from too much crowd.

There were obviously bodyguards trailing behind them from behind protectively. Their mother made him wear a cap and sunshades for some reason. Diane was also putting on a scarf and sunshades.

So that Collins wouldn't be left out, she also made him wear a cap and sunshade.

Nanny Joan also came along. She and one other maid was in charge of their luggage.

" You can't tell me how to live my life." Eric replied with the same statement Collins loved to use whenever he corrected him.

Diane giggled at his response, making Eric a little proud of himself.

After a seamless journey, Regina and her entourage arrived at the prestigious FV Hotel, nestled in the heart of New York. This iconic establishment was renowned for its unparalleled luxury and exclusivity, catering to the crème de la crème of society. As they stepped into the grand lobby, Diane's eyes widened in awe, taking in the opulent decor and impeccable service.

" Ba-dam! Bam bam!" She squealed excitedly.

The FV Hotel was a masterpiece of elegance, designed to surpass the expectations of the ultra-rich and discerning elite. Every aspect of the hotel, from its lavish furnishings to its cutting-edge amenities, was carefully crafted to provide an unparalleled level of comfort and sophistication.

As they made their way to their lavish suite, Collins and Eric couldn't help but feel like royalty, surrounded by the finest materials and attention to detail. The hotel's strict security measures and discreet staff ensured that their stay would be not only luxurious but also safe and private.

Regina, familiar with the hotel's exceptional reputation, had chosen the FV Hotel specifically for its reputation for catering to the needs of high-net-worth individuals and families. She knew that their stay would be nothing short of extraordinary, with every whim and desire catered to with impeccable service and discretion, also the security space for her children.

As they settled into their suite, the kids couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement, knowing they were experiencing the epitome of luxury in one of the world's greatest cities. " Okie! Okie!" Diane immediately started to explore their suite.

" Thank you, mother. I really love this place." Eric's gaze fell on the comfortable couch and he immediately settled in.

Collins followed Diane as they checked out the massive space. He had a really adorable friend.

" Hey, Diane." Collins called her, making her stop to turn back. " Hmm?" She copied her brother's act and tilted her head to the side.

" Why do you think Eric doesn't want to play with me?" He asked, feeling a little embarrassed. He always felt like the boy was just too much, with his cold and proud gaze all the time, but he also noticed that he was different when it came to his sister or mother.

" As you can see, I'm really excited right now. You can go ask him yourself." She replied with an impatient look etched on her face as she spoke.

" Mm" he nodded and walked back to where Eric was sitting, this time holding his phone. The boy undoubtedly reminded him of his elder brother at home. They had similar traits, but at least this one shares emotion with his sister and mother. Was he trying to take his place to know what it also feels like?

Eric raised his head up almost immediately, making Collins widen his eyes in surprise. " Why do you appear to be staring at me like that?" He asked, looking clearly irritated.

" You're not special, so don't think I would even spare you a glance." Collins replied almost immediately, but regretted his words. That wasn't what he meant to say, but his mouth was just so use to trash talking to him.

" I see." Eric replied dryly and continued playing with his phone.

" Eric, why do you hate me?" He suddenly asked, making Eric pause for a moment. " why are you asking such questions?"

" You don't like seeing me around. It's only so obvious." Collins took his seat a little farther away from him.

" You're pretty sharp, Collins." Eric replied with a soft chuckle. " You're right, I don't like seeing you around."
