Changes...

"I should go to check," Lopez proceeded to get out of the car but was stopped by Aiden's words.

"Don't worry, being delayed for a few minutes would only make me rest for a while."

"Ah…" Lopez reasoned with him and retreated back into the car. The car continued moving slowly and soon they reached the school gate.

The driver rolled down his window, and the inspector leaned in, saying, "The student in the car needs to get out and undergo inspection before entering the school alone."

Lopez's face clouded with anger, but he couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of the inspector's words.

"How audacious?!" He spat out, startling the inspector who hastily retreated his head.

Lopez placed his hand on the car knob and opened it, but as he was about to get out, a fair, slim hand was placed on his.

"Leave it," Aiden said with a soft smile. "It wouldn't hurt to walk on the first day of school."

He opened the door and put one foot outside, adding, "You could count it as part of my daily exercise."

"But boss, it's absurd," Lopez said, coming out of the car to follow him, only to be stopped by one of the guards manning the school gate.

"From now on, only students and staff are allowed on school grounds. No one else," the guard with a scar on his face said in a thick voice.

Lopez looked at him from head to toe with a stern expression, his hand moving towards his gun, which was resting at his waist. Aiden quickly noticed Lopez's intentions and saw that he was already enraged.

"Lopez!" he called out sternly, his face grim. "Stop, your master has already spoken. Remember, this isn't Spain."

"Alright," Lopez replied, removing his hand from his waist and nodding to Aiden before giving the guard a lingering look.

"I've got my eyes on you," he said, returning to his car.

Aiden stood before the inspector, who was visibly shaken by Lopez's intense gaze.

Aiden chuckled, "Why take on this job if a single glance can make you tremble like a soaked cat?"

The inspector remained silent, focusing on his work. It was clear that Aiden was a changed person; had it been the old Aiden, the inspector might not have survived the day for not responding.

"You can go, Sir," the inspector finally spoke up after completing his task.

"Alright," Aiden nodded to Lopez before entering the school gate. He watched as his car reversed and left the premises. Aiden sighed, venturing deeper into the school.

Everything was different from his memories - the paths, people, clothing, atmosphere - so different that he almost felt like he was somewhere else.

On normal days, the school surroundings would be bustling with cars, and bullying would occur openly. Girls would fawn over boys.

Aiden smiled, hoping for a normal school life as the changes meant a good school life.

As he entered the school building, the atmosphere shifted from lively to silent, as if no one dared to breathe in his presence. The only sound was his shoes clanking against the tiles.

He walked past everyone, not bothering to glance at them, though their silence slightly unnerved him. As he turned towards the locker room, he heard his name called out loudly, echoing through the silent room.

"Aiden!" He turned to face the speaker, a tall blonde boy with piercing dark eyes, accompanied by his cohorts.

"We came to welcome you. How have you been?" The boy extended his hand for a handshake.

"I'm good, and you are?" Aiden replied, shaking hands.

The boy laughed, saying, "Perhaps it's good then. Memory loss instead of death."

Aiden raised an eyebrow, confused. "Death?"

With the boy's words seeming like paradox, he decided to curb off his laziness and search his brain for memories related to the guy.

"Oh..." Aiden said, removing his hand from his pocket and smacking Jack on the shoulder, "What prompted you to greet me like that, with a handshake? Have you grown wings now, Jack?"

Jack only shook his head as he heard Aiden's words, a grin forming on his face. He moved closer to Aiden, his mouth near his ear. "You know, Aiden, the world won't always revolve around you, not especially when you've been gone for 21 days."

Jack's words and actions earned him a blow to the chin from Aiden. Jack seemed to have underestimated Aiden's boldness, expecting a more subdued reaction.

Aiden massaged his hand, gazing at the stunned Jack on the floor. "Jack, if you've grown wings, you should know who to flap them in front of. Not me."

One of Jack's cohorts approached, handing him a handkerchief to clean his hand. "Sorry, boss," he said.

Aiden took the handkerchief, using it to clean his knuckles. "You should take care of your small boss. He seems to be in pain."

He dropped the handkerchief on the floor and headed towards the locker room. This act solidified Aiden's claim as the school's boss, at least according to the rumors circulating among the students.

However, this news didn't sit well with someone. In a dark school room, a guy with black curly hair relayed information to a white-haired guy playing a guitar.

The guitar string snapped as the white-haired guy head jerked up, his face reddening with anger.

"What?!" He exclaimed, shock evident on his face. "You mean Aiden is back?"!
