CHAPTER 35 A Remarkable Pack

  Xander's POV

I refuse to let Solaine experience the depth of my indifference towards her. However, I desperately desire for her to forge ahead and immerse herself in her own affairs. Yet, I cannot bear the notion of her effortlessly moving on and toying with my brother's emotions.

I abruptly cut off her words, refusing to let her speak any further. As I make my way down the corridor, I suddenly collide with Axel. He's confidently balancing a tray filled with sandwich and milk, and I can't resist the urge to smirk mischievously and shoot him a playful glance.

"Wow," I whispered, my voice barely audible as a breathy exclamation escaped my lips. "Are you really going to hand that over to her? Is that a sandwich I see before me? She absolutely despises that." I let out a low, mirthless chuckle, devoid of any amusement.

Axel's complete lack of interest is absolutely hilarious.
