CHAPTER 14

   

   

   

  "I've been waiting for your arrival," Terran said the instant both Heath and I entered the mansion. He was sitting across the large doors with his eyes fixed on us.

   

  "Sup," Heath greeted, proceeding to walk away from the room but being brought to a halt by Terran's voice.

   

  "I gave you permission to take her to the beach because she needed some serenity, so why didn’t you make sure she came back home yesterday?" He asked. Heath stopped on his steps as he turned to face Terran, whose gaze never shifted from my body even as he spoke with Heath.

   

  "I couldn't have driven under the heavy rain and risked us getting into an accident," He replied.

   

  "It only started to rain by 6:12 p.m., but you left the house exactly by 9:40 a.m.; shouldn't you have left the beach earlier than that?" Terran inquired, but his question seemed to be more of an interrogation.
