Lorian's Offer

"Elias! Oh no!" Allyza exclaimed out loud, her voice reflected his great worry.

With her hands slightly shaking, she gently lifted Elias out of the carriage. She cradled him protectively as Tyron, on the outside, knocked down the coachmen on the ground. He had no plans in killing him yet, since they still need to know the mastermind behind this.

"Your parents are good, little one,." Lorian, who was carrying Theron in his arms, watched the family with a thoughtful expression on his face.

"Of kors," Theron answered as a grin appeared on his face. He should have an awesome parents knowing how awesome he was in his previous life.

Chuckling, Lorian nodded in satisfaction. He saw that Tyron and Allyza were still busy doing their own thing.

"I have a question. You should answer me honestly, young man or else I'll tell your parents what you did." With his lips curving upwards, Lorian moved Theron's body so the two of them could face each other.

"Wh..at it…?" (What is it?) Theron stared blankly at Lorian. However, inside, he was having a silent battle with his own mind.

"So, how did you know about the mana splitting technique."

'What am I even going to answer?' Theron asked himself as silence ensued among the two of them.

Lorian was staring at Theron, trying to figure out what was going on in his mind. However, he seemed prepared that he couldn't read anything.

'This young guy is interesting.' he silently uttered, impressed by it.

For such a young age, Theron looked like he was a grown man already for his age. If it weren't for his childish way of talking, then he'd think that he was at least 7 years old.

"Soo?" Lorian raised his eyebrow, following up for the answer. He looked around and saw that Tyron and Allyza were almost done with what they were doing.

Theron smiled at Lorian. He waited for a few more minutes, trying to see his parents move. When he saw that they were on the way back already, he opened his mouth and answered, "I dun know."

Lorian's jaw fell to the ground, hearing the unexpected answer.

"Are you no–"

"Theron!"

Before Lorian could even finish his words, Tyron came running towards Theron. His sword now back to his waist.

"We're sorry for troubling you," Tyron uttered in an apologetic voice as he took Theron swiftly out of his hands.

Laughing out loud and noticing what Theron had done, Lorian could only nod and smiled widely.

'This child is truly something,' he uttered, finding it funny that he could think that way at such a young age.

Lorian was truly amazed.

"Tyron, Theron," Allyza soon quickly came after. The unconscios Elias was lying on her arms. "He's alright, I checked it," she sighed in relief. "Just unconscious."

"Thank goodness," Tyron muttered, running a hand through his hair before hugging Theron tightly in his arms. "Thank you, Lorian. We couldn't have done this without you."

Lorian smiled kindly. "It was my pleasure." He sincerely uttered. He was happy that he was able to help.

"However, we need to leave this area already before his accomplices get here, " he said calmly. "I can transport us back to my house. It will be safer there."

Tyron and Allyza nodded in agreement, knowing that Lorian's words were right.

With a wave of Lorian's hand, a shimmering portal of golden light appeared again before them. "Step through quickly," Lorian instructed.

"Wait a minute." Tyron uttered as he went back to drag the unconscious coachmen. He smiled sweetly before pushing him in the portal.

"Now, let's go." He uttered before stepping inside calmly. He wrapped his hands around Theron's head, trying to help with the dizziness that the portal can ensue.

Afterwards, Allyza and Elias went through the portal while Lorian followed in silence. Different from earlier, they were transported inside a house. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

"Have a seat first. This is my house, the one from earlier." Lorian explained, knowing that his guests might be curious already.

"Ohhh, I see."

"You can lay that child first in there," Lorian pointed out a small sofa on the side followed by a few cushioned chairs on its side. "I'll check on him later. "

"I will then." Allyza did not hesitate and did as she was told. She gently put Elias down, making sure that his position was comfortable.

Tyron and Theron quickly followed, sitting in one of the cushioned chairs while letting the coachmen just lie down on the ground.

As they settled in, Lorian turned to Tyron and Allyza, his expression serious yet gentle.

"I know that this may be unexpected but I can sense that Theron is quite special," he began, giving Theron a quick glance.

Theron's eyes widened. 'This old man. Is he taking revenge on me for what I have done?'' he thought with gritted teeth as he quickly looked at his parents. He was already thinking of words to say if this man truly exposed him.

Noticing the little shift in Theron's gaze, Lorian laughed out loud. He smiled widely, already guessing the thoughts that Theron was thinking right now. However, it was not that reason why he brought up the topic.

"I can sense your son's mana deep inside him. I also heard of rumorous about your son showing his magic when he was first presented to the public. This is the reason why I am presenting you with this offer."

Tyron and Allyza exchanged glances, their hearts racing as pride and concern mingled in their eyes.

"What is it?" Tyron breathed out.

"When he is of age to learn, I would like to personally teach him magic," Lorian stated. "He has great potential, and with proper guidance, I know he could achieve remarkable things."

'Ohhh?' Theron's eyes immediately flew to Lorian after hearing his unexpected words.

Allyza quickly nodded, her eyes softening, feeling proud as a mother. "We would be honoured for that, Sir."

"Then it's settled," Lorian said with a satisfied smile. "When Theron is ready, contact me. I will be here. I'll wait until the time comes.
