Training With Sir Aldric

"Let's start with the basics," Sir Aldric placed his hands together as he continued. "Elias, Charlize, step forward."

Elias and Charlize glanced at each other before following the instruction. The two of them stepped up, their movements hesitant.

With a smiling face, Tyron approached the two. He was holding two wooden swords. He handed one to each of the kids. "Here you go," he said with a small teasing smile.

He has never seen the kids act nervous like this to their other teachers. It seemed like he had made the right choice for this one.

Elias gripped the wooden sword tightly, his knuckles turning white. Charlize took hers with a shaky hand, her eyes darting nervously between the sword and Sir Aldric.

"Now," Sir Aldric started in a loud and clear tone.

"I want you to start getting familiar with

your swords. Swing it slowly and carefully." He sternly instructed as he demonstrated the movements.

Elias and Charlize began to move their swords, mimicking the slow, deliberate swings Sir Aldric demonstrated. Their movements were stiff and unsure. The two of them looked like they were inside a theater play

'Let's see,' Theron watched with a critical eye. He crossed his arms and shook his head slightly. "Aldric is good, butt Elias and Charlize…," he muttered to himself.

Knowing Charlize and Elias's personality, he already knew that they would have a hard time on this one.

"Remember, it's not about speed or power right now. Focus on feeling it. Get used to it." Sir Aldric continued, his tone patient and encouraging.

Elias and Charlize nodded, trying to relax as they adjusted their grips and swings. Their nervousness began to ease slightly, though they still seemed tense.

Sir Aldric glanced over at Theron, making sure that he was still on the side before returning his gaze in front. He raised an eyebrow but continued with the lesson.

"Good. Now, hold your swords firmly but not too tightly. Your stance should be balanced, feet shoulder-width apart. Elias, lift your sword slightly. Charlize, adjust your grip."

Aldric moved around them, making small adjustments to their positions. They were obviously struggling and looked as if they wanted to give up already.

"Hahaha," Tyron, who was walking, watched from the side, a proud smile lingered on his face.

"Aren't they funny, My son?" he asked, slightly chuckling. Despite seeing their struggles, he was glad that they were actually learning.

Theron's focus on Elias and Charlize were disrupted as he heard a voice on his side.

"They are, father." He answered with a smile on his face. "I guess Sir Aldric would really fit with them."

"Pft-" Tyron fought the urge to laugh, realizing what Theron meant. He clearly was talking about how Elias and Charlize were helpless in front of Aldric.

"Do you want to learn a secret?" Tyron wiggled his brows as he smiled at Theron. He couldn't help but feel a hint of sadness, knowing that his children were already starting to grow up.

He remembered that time Charlize and Theron were just running and strolling around the estate.

He miss those times.

"A secret?" Theron's eyes widened as he eagerly looked at his father.

Tyron nodded.

"Sir Aldric was recommended by Elias's father, your Uncle."

"Will Elias's father come back soon, Papa?" Theron softly called his father's name, making Tyron's heart swell.

"I don't think so. The situation in our kingdom and the kingdom of Hedelgar are not exactly on good terms my dear. I guess it will still take long." Theron sighed as he bitterly smiled.

Despite disclosing the reason, he didn't reveal any details. He thought that Theron was too young for it to understand.

"That's why you, my dear son. You should grow up and be a fine man. Pursue what you like and bring prosperity to our kingdom." Tyron gently caressed Theron's hair.

However, Theron slightly shook his head.

"All I care about is our family, Papa. If I'm going to pursue something then that's because it's for the betterment of our family." Theron slowly answered, eyeing Tyron with curious eyes.

Laughing out loud, Tyron repeatedly nodded his head.

"Alright then. As long as you're happy." He jokingly uttered before returning his gaze to the side.

"Now, let's watch okay?"

"Okay."

While Theron and Tyron were talking, Aldric started teaching the kids some basic movements.

"Now, we'll practice the basic strike. Raise your swords and bring them down in a controlled manner. Remember, it's not about brute strength but precision and technique."

Sir Aldric held his silver sword up high, the tip of it, pointing at the wooden dummy in front of him. With one clear stroke, he was able to cut the dummy precisely in half.

"I'm not expecting you to copy what I did. I want to see how you hit the dummy with precision. Now go."

Elias and Charlize quickly followed Sir Aldric's instructions, their wooden swords slicing through the air. The sound of wood hitting wood echoed through the training grounds as they practiced their strikes under Sir Aldric's watchful eye.

He was satisfied when he saw that even though they were not exactly precise, they were at least trying.

"Excellent. Just continue what you're doing." Sir Aldric said after a few minutes.

"For you Theron, would you like to join us for a moment?"

Theron's eyes widened as he looked up, surprised when his name was called.

"But I'm not old enough to train yet," he said hesitantly, remembering Tyron's words early in the morning

"I know," Sir Aldric replied with a gentle smile. "But watching can only interest you for a while. Come, I'll show you a few basics that you can practice without a sword." He motioned his hand and said the words enthusiastically.

Theron glanced at Tyron, who gave him a nod of approval. Scratching the back of gis head, he then stood up and walked over to Sir Aldric.

'I just want to stay lowkey today. But yet, here I am.'

"All right, Theron. Stand like this," Sir Aldric instructed, demonstrating a proper stance. He stood up, with his legs wide apart and knees slightly bent.

"Even without a sword, you can practice your stance and balance. These are crucial foundations for swordsmanship."

'Oh? That's easy.' Theron thought as he mimicked Sir Aldric's stance. He was feeling a sense of pride as he did so.

Sir Aldric only made a few adjustments, nodding in approval.

"You got a nice posture for a newbie. Nice one!"
