Episode 5: Antics and Hijinks

Keith opened the door to the cafe with Yolie following close behind. Once inside, Keith ordered a latte for himself and an espresso for Yolie.

Yolie was practically bouncing as she waited.

"What's got you so excited?" Keith asked.

She giggled. "Do you really need to ask?"

Keith shrugged. "I guess not."

Their drinks were ready in no time. Yolie practically skipped as she took them before finding them seats.

Keith sat across from her.

Yolie took a sip of her espresso. "This is great! Thank you!"

Keith took a sip of his latte. It was pretty good. "You're welcome."

"So, what do you want to do today?" Yolie asked.

"Well..." Keith tapped his chin. "I'm free until late afternoon. I need to write some code for work later."

"Ooh! Let's go shopping!"

Keith chuckled. "I knew that was coming."

Yolie winked. "You know me so well!"

Keith took another sip of his latte. "Any stores you have in mind?"

Yolie hummed. "Let's go to the mall! It's been a while since we've gone there!"

He nodded. "Okay."

Yolie squealed. "Thanks!"

"What are friends for?" Keith replied.

She smiled. "We're so lucky to have each other!"

"Yeah..."

Yolie finished her espresso. "Let's go!"

Keith drank the rest of his latte before getting up to throw the cups away.

Yolie practically bounced as she followed Keith out of the cafe.

They then got into a driverless car that they ordered and put in the location of the mall. Once they arrived, Yolie dragged Keith by the arm into a clothing store.

Yolie held out a yellow sundress. "Don't you think Aurelia would look great in this?"

Keith smiled. "Yeah, I think she would."

Although, Aurelia thought that dresses weren't a very practical article of clothing.

She clapped before hanging it back up.

Yolie then went over to the men's clothes and picked up a green polo shirt. "Would Frankie like this?"

Keith smiled. "I think so."

Yolie hung it over her arm before moving to women's shoes. She then picked up a pair of heels. "What do you think?"

Keith tilted his head. "They look uncomfortable..."

She giggled. "That's the point."

Keith certainly wasn't cut out to be a woman...

She hung them back up before picking up a pair of flats. "These look comfy."

Keith nodded. "Yeah, Aurelia would probably like those."

Yolie then walked over to accessories and picked up a purple purse. "This is cute!"

Keith smiled. "Yeah, it is."

Yolie then went over to the jewelry rack and picked up a bracelet. "Isn't this pretty?"

Keith nodded. "It is."

Yolie then hung it back up. "I think I'll wait to buy Aurelia a birthday present."

Keith smiled. "Probably for the best."

Yolie's birthday was soon, and Frankie's was not long after.

Yolie then went over to the checkout area. Keith followed close behind.

Once she paid for Frankie's shirt and Aurelia's flats, they left the store.

"Is there anywhere else you want to shop?" Keith asked.

"Hmm..." Yolie tapped her chin. "Let's look around!"

Keith nodded. "Okay."

Yolie then dragged Keith from store to store. She bought Frankie a tie and Aurelia a scarf.

By the time they left, Keith was carrying most of the bags.

"I think I'm good for now," Yolie said.

"That's good to hear," Keith replied.

They then went home. Keith put the gifts he was carrying on the table before laying on the couch.

Yolie went into the kitchen and got Keith a glass of water. "Here you go!"

Keith smiled. "Thank you!"

She clapped. "You're welcome!"

Keith then drank his water.

Yolie then sat down beside Keith. "What do you want to do now?"

"Hmm..." Keith tapped his chin. "Anything you feel like watching?"

"Maybe!" Yolie grabbed a pair of VR headsets for them.

Keith put his on before lying down again.

Yolie then turned on a comedy movie for them. It was about a group of friends who got into various antics and hijinks.

Keith chuckled throughout parts of it.

Yolie giggled.

Once the movie ended, Keith took his headset off. "That was great!"

Yolie nodded. "I loved it!"

Keith stretched. "What do you want to do now?"

Yolie tapped her chin. "Hmm..."

Keith stood up. "I need to work on my deadline soon."

She nodded. "Okay! Have fun!"

"Thanks!" Keith then went upstairs to work on coding.
