The bright light blinded his eyes, prompting him to quickly cover his eyes. He opened them a few minutes later to find out that he was back where he was before.
" What a strange dream." He thought, placing his palm on his forehead.
He proceeded to slowly stand up from the ground as he thought about everything he had just seen and heard— they all felt too real for it to have been a mere dream.
He stood up from the ground and walked straight back to his room. The stress of everything that had been happening lately was getting to him.
" I wonder what I can do now?" He thought as he gripped onto the doorknob.
He paused there for a moment before quickly turning around and running back to where he had just come from.
" Damnit, I haven't even done what Lana had requested of me." He thought as he quickly ran out of the courtyard.
There weren't any guards placed around him to keep him in check which gave him the feeling that Lady Miko was confident in her ability to keep watch over him.
The Mystic clan's estate is comprised of many families all bearing the same name with the main family living in the main estate.
Although their houses were far apart it didn't take long for him to reach his desired destination.
Their house was still as he had remembered and he got in quite easily, something that made him question whether showing them the invitation last time had been necessary at all.
As soon as he walked through the gate, one of the maids came walking towards him.
" Right this way Master Nexus." She said, pointing towards the entrance to the house.
He nodded his head slightly as he gulped down hard and slowly followed behind her.
It wasn't long before they arrived in the building and the only thing he could think of was that his own place couldn't compare.
He hadn't been living living in the same house as his mother anyway and not that it even bothered him but just looking at the house's exterior, he couldn't help but wonder why his own was so mediocre compared to theirs.
He was led further up the stairs and into a room which he was quite resistant to walk into until he heard a familiar voice.
" You may come in," Lana said from inside the room.
Her tone sounded slightly normal since he could hear the anger suppressed within it; it only made him more hesitant to go into the room but at least now he was sure where he was going.
He walked into the room and the door was immediately closed behind him.
The walls of the room were painted white just like every other part of the room he had just set his eyes on. The floors were tiled and the pieces of furniture were designed with the fanciest jade and ores that could be found around the world.
The room was the same size as his living room with a bed that looked like it would be able to comfortably fit ten different clones of him.
She didn't have a closet like most others but instead, a walk-in wardrobe that was at least thirty percent the same size as her bedroom which he was currently in.
" It's been a while, hasn't it Nexus?" Lana said, slowly walking towards him.
" Hey there Lana, i-it really has been a while." He said with a slight stammer, backing slightly away from her.
She paused for a moment on her way towards him and placed her right hand on her chin.
" Hey about the black market I told you about—I know you must have been waiting for a while now." He said, moving his hand slowly towards the back of his head, " I'm sorry, but I ran into some troubles and wasn't able to get what you had asked of me."
She didn't say anything to his apologies but kept her intent gaze on him. He couldn't get his head around what it was she was doing since it didn't seem like there was any meaning to it anyway.
The door to the room swung open and in walked a cat with a small briefcase held firmly with its teeth, It dropped the briefcase by her side and walked away immediately after that.
He was only getting more confused by the minute at what was happening.
" Don't worry okay, it's not like I'm angry or anything." She said, removing her hand from her chin.
She then proceeded to raise her left hand and hold out her forefinger, a bright white light began to emit from the tip, forming a sort of mini lightsaber.
" I know that you lacked devotion to fulfilling my request since there weren't incentives... Because of that, I've decided that this time if you're willing, you should be more devoted to fulfilling the request I asked of you."
" She sounds way more mature than I last knew." He thought with great shock.
It had only been a few months since they last met and they were still eleven years of age.
" And what exactly are you planning on having me do?"
" It's simple, quite very simple—a blood oath and don't worry I don't plan on not making it worth it for you since I'll be offering you a very good incentive." She said holding up the briefcase.
He instantly knew what she had been playing at the entire time and was ready to object to her offer immediately.
" Hold on for a sec, what the hell do you mean by an incentive? What makes you think whatever you're offering could be good enough of an incentive for me? You can keep whatever you want to offer yourself. Just know that I'm not trying to be rude but you're being a bit careless right now."
Without paying heed to a single one of his words, she proceeded to open the briefcase which revealed a piece of paper that covered something in the briefcase and a red glowing ring.
" You should really be patient with certain matters you know. That's not all I have in hand to offer and you may choose whichever one you want."
