<p>Two houses shy of his target, Patrick stopped the car without killing the engine. Sitting quietly, hands resting on the steering wheel, he looked out the car's windows at his new surroundings. It was a somewhat bleak location.</p>

<p>A black car passed him and came to a halt right at the side of the fence that surrounded the house he was going to, a little distance from the front gate, while he was still sitting in the car and staring at the house. A few moments afterwards, the driver's seat door opened, allowing someone to exit the vehicle. He knew the driver right away. Then he noticed a woman approach him at the driver's side of the vehicle from the other side. He gave her the keys after saying something to her. He nodded in response to anything she had said.
