Carl shot forward like a missile, his fist trailing violet energy as he swung for Karl's smirking face. The impact sent a boom across the battlefield, a shockwave splitting the clouds apart. Karl's head snapped to the side, but his feet never moved—his smirk never faltered.
Carl didn't stop. He twisted his body mid-air, a second punch already flying—then a third, then a fourth, each strike exploding with raw cosmic force.
Karl dodged the next one. Then another. And another.
Carl gritted his teeth as his fists struck only air. He could feel Karl's breath between dodges, could see the sick amusement dancing in his golden eyes.
Then—
Karl struck back.
A single punch.
A golden comet of power slammed into Carl's chest, sending him flying. His back hit a floating chunk of debris, shattering it into dust before he crashed through another. The world spun, pain igniting through his ribs, but Carl forced himself to stop mid-air.
Before he could fully recover, Karl was already in front of him.
"Come on," Karl chuckled, hands lazily in his pockets. "That all you got?"
Carl didn't answer. He clenched his fists, wiped the blood from his lips, and—
He moved.
Blinding speed.
He vanished from Karl's view, appearing above him. A downward punch ripped through the air, splitting the clouds apart as he brought his full strength down.
Karl raised a single hand.
Carl's punch landed—
And Karl caught it.
With his bare hand.
Carl's eyes widened. His full power—stopped so effortlessly.
Karl grinned.
"Pathetic."
Then he crushed Carl's fist in his grip.
Carl let out a strangled yell, but Karl didn't give him time to recover. His knee came up—fast. The brutal impact smashed into Carl's gut, folding him in half, his vision going white with pain.
Then Karl let go, grabbed Carl by the face, and dragged him downward at terminal velocity.
The ground was approaching fast.
BOOOOOOM!
A massive crater formed on impact, sending a shockwave across the battlefield. Dust and debris shot into the air.
Carl lay motionless, body broken, chest heaving for breath.
It was over.
Or at least, it should have been.
He landed gracefully on the crater's edge, staring down at Carl with that ever-present smirk.
Then, with slow, deliberate movements, he crouched down beside Carl's broken form.
"Look at you," Karl murmured, his tone almost... fascinated. He reached out, fingers brushing against Carl's bruised face, tilting his head side to side like he was inspecting him. "So weak. So vulnerable."
Carl flinched as Karl's hand trailed down, his touch eerily slow—mocking. He traced the curve of Carl's jaw, then ran his thumb across his lips.
Carl hated it. Every nerve in his body screamed at him to move—to fight back—but he couldn't.
Karl chuckled, leaning in close, his breath warm against Carl's ear.
"You disgust me, you know that?" he whispered. "Because I see it. That tiny, desperate ember inside you. The part of you that still thinks it can fight."
Carl clenched his teeth.
Karl's smile widened.
"And yet—" Karl's fingers dug into Carl's cheeks, his nails biting into flesh. "Here you are, pathetic, gasping for breath like a dying animal."
Then—
Karl's tongue flicked out.
He licked a slow, deliberate stripe up Carl's cheek.
Carl's entire body convulsed in disgust, his stomach twisting violently.
"Mmm~" Karl sighed, closing his eyes like he was savoring it. "Salty. Just the way I like it."
Carl shook with pure revulsion.
Karl giggled, a horrible, childlike sound that sent a deep chill through Carl's bones.
"See, Carl," Karl whispered, fingers curling into Carl's hair, gripping tight. "Before, I was fine with just beating you. But now…"
His grin stretched wider.
"This time, I won't stop until there's nothing left of you."
Carl barely held back a shudder.
Karl leaned in even closer, his voice a soft, venomous whisper.
"I'm going to break you."
Carl's body froze. His breath caught in his throat, his disgust palpable, his stomach churning. But more than that—
He was tired.
Tired of this.
Tired of Karl.
Tired of losing.
For a fleeting moment, he considered just… ending it.
His fingers twitched. His tongue pressed against his teeth. Maybe if he just bit down hard enough—maybe if he ended it here—
The boy who had no reason to fight. No obligation. No need to be here.
And yet—
He had fought.
And he had won.
Eight monsters. Eight.
And he still stood.
Carl's breathing slowed.
That's… what a hero is.
Something snapped in his mind...
It was like he finally understood his purpose...'Fuck it...I'm dying either way, I'll just burn through my life essence'
The air split apart as Carl's body exploded with raw cosmic power. Golden flames erupted from his skin, his very soul burning with uncontainable fury. The ground beneath him fractured, the sheer force of his presence turning solid rock into dust.
Karl took a single step back. For the first time—his smirk was gone.
Carl's eyes locked onto him, his voice thunderous.
"Today… I END YOU."
Then—they both moved.
Carl rocketed forward, his fist reared back—but Karl was just as fast.
A golden beam of energy blasted from Karl's hands, colliding with Carl's charge and detonating the entire battlefield. The shockwave sent skyscraper-sized boulders flying, reducing mountains to rubble.
Carl burst through the blast, fists glowing white-hot— but Karl met him in kind.
Their punches collided, splitting the very sky. The force of their blows sent shockwaves that tore the clouds apart, the sheer impact of their battle turning the battlefield into a wasteland.
Karl grinned, eyes glowing with pure malice.
"You really think you can take me, Carl?"
Karl lunged in, faster than light. His knee drove into Carl's gut, sending him skidding back.
But Carl caught himself mid-air, barely regaining his footing before Karl was already there, a golden energy blade extending from his wrist.
"Too slow."
The blade slashed through Carl's side, searing his flesh.
Karl grabbed Carl's head mid-fall, then drove it into the ground. The entire battlefield trembled.
Karl stood over Carl's crumpled body, sneering.
"You always did have a big mouth, Carl. All this rage, all this fire— but in the end, you're just prey."
Carl spat blood, his teeth bared. "Fuck you."
Karl chuckled.
"Oh, I plan to."
Carl's eyes snapped open.
Karl crouched down beside him, eyes gleaming.
"A little molestation got you this riled up? Then imagine—"
His voice dripped with sick pleasure.
"—how fun it'll be to r*pe you. To break you. To make you my little slave."
Carl froze.
His breath stopped.
And then—the fire erupted.
Carl's aura exploded outward, turning the sky pure gold. His rage ignited like a dying star reaching supernova.
Karl's smirk faded.
Carl's head snapped up—his eyes burning with something primal.
Karl took a step back.
"…Oh."
Then Carl moved.
Faster than light.
His fist slammed into Karl's ribs.
The impact sent Karl hurtling through the sky, his body twisting violently. He barely had time to register the pain before Carl appeared above him—both fists raised.
"DIE, YOU SICK FUCK!"
His fists came crashing down.
Each blow sent Karl spiraling further downward. Each strike detonating against his body like a bomb. Each hit tearing him apart.
Karl coughed up blood.
Carl grabbed Karl's hair mid-air, yanked him back—then drove his knee straight into his gut.
Karl's entire ribcage shattered. His screams filled the air.
Carl let go.
Karl's mangled body plummeted to the ground, carving a burning trench into the battlefield. Smoke and dust rose around him.
And Carl descended.
Slowly. Deliberately.
Karl groaned, coughing up thick globs of blood. His limbs trembled as he tried to push himself up—
Carl's foot came down.
STOMP!
Karl screamed. A real scream. Not laughter. Not mockery. Pure agony.
Carl grinned.
"Oh? What happened?" His voice was low, dark—seething. "Where's that smug fucking face now?"
Karl gasped for breath. His once-perfect golden locks were matted with blood, his face swollen beyond recognition.
And yet, he grinned.
"Heh… heh… You… y-you think this makes you strong?" Karl spat out a tooth. "I would have fucked you sooner."
Carl saw red.
He let loose a roar and swung his fist.
Karl's face whipped to the side, blood flying like a mist.
Carl didn't stop.
His fists tore through flesh and bone— ripping apart Karl's cheekbones, his jaw, his eye socket.
Karl howled.
Carl slammed his knee into Karl's ribs.
Once. Twice. Three times.
Blood and bile burst from Karl's lips, his body convulsing.
"You think this is funny?!" Carl bellowed, his hands wrapping around Karl's throat. He lifted him up like a ragdoll.
"I've seen what you've done." Carl's voice was raw with fury. "I saw those women. The ones you broke. The ones who'll never get their lives back."
Karl gasped. His fingers scratched at Carl's iron grip, his legs kicking weakly.
"P-Please…" Karl wheezed.
Carl's grin widened.
"Oh? You wanna live?" He tilted his head mockingly. "Beg harder."
Karl's swollen lips trembled. His body shook.
"I-I… I don't… want to die," he whispered. His once-confident voice was small. Pathetic.
Carl sneered.
"Then you shouldn't have been born."
Then—he drove his fist into Karl's crotch.
Karl's eyes nearly popped out of his skull. A sound not meant for human ears tore from his throat. His entire body spasmed, his hips twitching uncontrollably.
"AAAAAAAGGHHHHHHH—!!!"
His scream shook the heavens.
Carl stomped down.
Karl convulsed violently, his spine arching.
STOMP!
Tears mixed with blood as Karl sobbed, screaming, shaking.
STOMP!
His entire lower half was ruined. Nothing left.
Karl could barely breathe. His body a twisted, shattered mess.
Carl knelt beside him, grabbing his broken, disfigured face.
"You begged." Carl's voice was flat. Emotionless.
"And I don't care."
His thumbs drove into Karl's eyes.
Karl's screams reached their peak.
Carl raised his fist one last time.
And with a final, merciless strike— Karl was gone.
Carl stood over the pulped remains of the worst human he'd ever known.
And for the first time…
Carl felt at peace.
