I'll teach you what you need to know," she said, her features shifting until she looked like a mirror image of the stunned Wu Ling. "As long as you follow my arrangements and learn my techniques, it isn't impossible for you to reunite with Meifeng..." 

"But you should consider Young Lord Liang carefully," the Hall Master added. "His affection for you is genuine. Perhaps, one day, you'll even feel the same for him..."

Under the cover of Fang Lin's formation, Wu Ling was able to lull the powerful Radiant Mountain Lion to sleep. Unlike his encounter with the Red Tiger's Den in Silver Sword City, this time the song he opted for was 'Summer Haze.' The long, deep and slow notes of the song called to mind days so warm that doing anything would quickly become exhausting.

While the early summer sun hadn't come close to producing such sweltering heat yet, the deep, sonorous notes of Wu Ling's song nonetheless lulled the Radiant Mountain Lion into a deep sleep, it's tail twitching slightly as it's muscles relaxed, basking in the light of the sun.

Several tense moments passed while Su Xiang darted ahead, crossing less than a hundred meters from the powerful beast as she raced into the forest on the opposite side of the narrow passage. In less time than it would take to brew a cup of tea, however, she had rejoined Wu Ling and the others with two pieces of good news.
