Chapter thirty one

The next morning, Alina arrived at school wearing dark glasses to hide her swollen eyes. However, the glasses only drew more attention, making it obvious she was hiding something. Lizzy, noticing Alina's unusual appearance, pulled her friend aside to a quiet corner.

"Alina, what happened?" Lizzy asked, her voice filled with concern.

Alina took a deep breath and began to recount the events of the previous evening. Lizzy listened in silence, her expression growing more serious with each word.

"Alina, don't be too sad," Lizzy said finally. "Marcus isn't the only guy out there. You're very beautiful, and it's his loss if he chooses Sasha over you."

"But Lizzy, why do I feel so sad? It's like my heart is broken into pieces. I'm so hurt," she said, her voice breaking as tears filled her eyes.

Lizzy drew Alina into a comforting embrace. "Come here. It will get better. It's just heartbreak. Don't worry, it will soon pass."
