167. Land of Earth
Sora's earth clone got to work and started healing the main body.
Sora really liked doing such stunts, but he didn't like cleaning the consequences, the fact that he gives all the work to his clones, who are still versions of him, makes those versions very irritated.
If Sora's clones were not his clones, then they would have definitely rebelled.
The 4 Earth clones who had got back to their work, suddenly looked up and saw a red projectile heading straight towards them.
"Did he forget that gravity exists?" One of the earth clones cursed while weaving hand seals.
If air was not present on the planet, then the kunai would have come back at them at the exact speed it was thrown.
Luckily, this planet was habitable and had air, which naturally comes with the drag force the kunai is experiencing decreasing its speed.
However, That didn't really decrease it's speed that much as chakra enhancement exists which also has a secondary purpose of maintaining projectile speed.
Four of them spatted water above at the same time and all of those water beams collectively coalesced to form a water dragon which collided with the kunai.
Shockingly, the small kunai was the one that tore through the water dragon and passed through the water.
However, by then it had lost most of it's momentum and harmlessly clashed with the barrier's roof, unable to penetrate.
"Damn, that was something," They thought while noting down this incident so that the Main body could at least know about the attack power of this move.
With that time passed, the earth clone inside the barrier was done with his treatment and started doing some chakra control as he had to remove the anaesthesia's effects fully from Sora's main body, so that no lingering effects were present for tomorrow.
The earth clone yawned as he looked at the sky.
Seeing that only one or two hours were left before sunrise, it removed the anaesthesia from the main body and did a quick body scan to check for any abnormalities.
Seeing that he was satisfied with his work, he created a shadow clone with most of his chakra and then dispelled himself.
Shadow clone looked at the dispersing chakra of the earth clone and then continued with his chakra control exercises.
Sora's main body woke up and it started doing some stretching exercises.
IT didn't disturb the focused Earth clone.
and looked at the Earth clones.
All of them dispelled themselves and transferred the notes that they had written contactless to Sora's storage seal.
He quickly went through the notes while his earth /shadow clone was focusing on the chakra control exercise.
After this, Sora's shadow clone dispelled itself and Sora got its memory too.
He created a water clone which got to create a heavy breakfast, Sora completed going through those notes and went through his morning routine.
He then had his heavy breakfast.
And lay down on his bed while patting his stomach.
'Now that was a feast, I now feel too lazy to move' Sora created an earth clone to guard him as the earlier barrier's defensive capabilities were now unavailable due to no chakra being provided.
It would have been an inefficient use of Sora's chakra as he was now awake.
'Hmm, should I let another clone go to the land of bears while I fool around or should I go there myself?' Sora was unsure of what to do as not much distance was left to be covered to the Land of Bears.
He ultimately decided to go by himself and started moving after the food was partially digested, as he now was in enemy territory and didn't want any ambushes to kill him.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH" Sora who was currently travelling in a gap between two mountains was startled by the voice.
'Woah, that definitely is a loud voice, that person could definitely shout' Sora thought while wondering from where the voice came.
After enhancing his hearing with the help of chakra, he noticed that sound was coming from above the mountains.
'Hmm?' Sora thought while starting to climb from the bottom of the valley.
Being the ninja he is and flickering on the wall, it didn't take him more than a few seconds to reach the top.
He saw a black-haired teenager looking at a beetle with disgust in her face.
'Oh, that is a chakra beast... It was He saw the beast getting pierced by an earth spear from the ground.
Sora saw the girl stomping and the beetle dying.
The girl looked at him.
'How did that beetle come in this barren place in the first place' Sora was baffled at a beetle coming in a rocky terrain.
A chakra beetle of all things.
Anyway, it really wasn't anything important if he couldn't even dodge that.
The girl changed her gaze towards Sora and weaved hand-seals and spatted earth spikes at Sora.
The latter already had flickered sideways even before she spatted her earth jutsu.
"So, it was you who is using such beetles to harass young girls" She accused while sending a barrage of projectiles making Sora have no choice other than to create a sturdy earth wall.
He was in the land of Earth, so using an Earth jutsu shouldn't raise any eyebrows.
'Wait, what?' Sora internally felt wronged by the accusation.
'Also, You definitely are not young, You probably are not that far away to be nearly twice my age' Sora internally thought but didn't say that out loud.
The girl changed her tactic and started firing a few projectiles but denser ones, leading Sora's wall to crumble like paper.
He had already foreseen that and thus had left before only.
'She should be at least a Jounin... hmm, I feel like I have seen her somewhere before' Sora thought while flickering in the other direction.
He had no interest in making trouble in the Land of Earth which could potentially lead to his identity being discovered.
Tsunade would really give him an earful if this happens.
'I should have let my earth clone do the travelling alone, I wouldn't have to be attacked randomly like that' Sora thought while looking at the raven head hot on his heels.
Not only that, she was spatting earth projectiles occasionally which made Sora more actively aware of her, leading to a reduction in speed.
'Jeez, is she not worried that I am not leading her in a trap? or is she just an idiot.. anyway, I just have to make sure that they don't think I am from Land of Fire' Sora grumbled while weaving hand seals.
He jumped off the valley end while turning and releasing a fire ball jutsu.
The Iwa girl thought that it wouldn't hit her due to it being so slow, but in the next instant, that jutsu combined with a wind jutsu and rapidly came for her.
She had no other choice but to halt herself and erect a thick earth wall which took the brunt of this jutsu.
After she was done defending, she quickly flickered to the edge, but looking down, she didn't see any trace of the masked man.
The masked man's hand already activated his shape-shifting jutsu and escaped very quickly.
"A fire-wind combo huh, that guy could highly likely be from the land of fire" She said out loud.
If her grandpa had been here, she would have scolded her for thinking so simply.
He would have told her to consider the possibility of the masked man pretending to be from the Land of fire, if a person from Konoha was infiltrating here, they wouldn't use a fire jutsu of all things in a battle.
Yes, there could be reverse psychology in play, but it won't really matter as Iwa could use that as an excuse to Frame Konoha, regardless of the fact that they are true culprits or not if they got a proper opportunity
Sora was betting on the fact that nobody would be dumb enough to use the fire and wind combo if they were from Land of Fire and his enemies knew that too...
However, a genius met his match- an idiot.
The girl actually thought that he was from the Land of fire, which was correct, but the way she arrived at her conclusion was wrong.
It seems the phrase "Idiots don't catch cold" is true.
