Cassien felt empty for some reason. Looking and her pale body brought back haunting memories. He remembered losing consciousness and waking up minutes later. He didn't want her to know he was awake, so he kept quiet listening to her speak to someone who he assumed to be Faust.
He couldn't process the shock when he found out she was a witch. Her lifeless body in his arms made him lose all his rationality. It has been ten painful days since she fell into coma. Faust, her familiar, never left her side and has refused to speak about anything. He had a lot of questions, but he had to wait for her to wake up.
He gripped her hands in his and placed a chaste kiss on it. "Your highness, Xerves is here." Garnet said entering the tent. He gave Hyacinth a look. He guessed something happened, but Cassien had refused to speak let alone leave the tent.
"Tell him to come." Cassien said without giving Garnet a look.
