Chapter-23

"Are you sure it's here?" Hyacinth asked Felix. The silver-haired man nodded and ventured into the forest, making sure not alert the Knights stationed few meters away from them. He looked over to Hyacinth and smiled. Even though it was dark, he could see the confusion written all over on visage.

"I see you didn't bring your companion." He said, stopping in his tracks when he sensed a presence in front of them. Well, he was to blame for using the long path. Hyacinth suggested using the other path that led to the gates of the forest.

"Why would I bring it when I was literally kidnapped from my bed. I'm surprised how you managed to sneak past Cassien's nose." She scoffed, brushing a leaf from her face.

" We just need to be back before dawn, and if I hadn't placed a sleeping spell on him, I wouldn't have been able to bring you."

" I wouldn't blame him when he literally saw you die in his arms once. Humans!" He chuckled.
