The Chronicles Of The Undead.

Writer's POV:

Ages ago when the world had just begun, the Heaven spelt out the the trials of the humans, from their original sin, to the punishment through flood, from the First Coming Of The Saviour, to the coming of the multi-headed dragon on earth, then finally The Second Coming Of The Saviour, which will as a result bring an end to the world.

Some heavenly beings took pity on the humans and decided to assist. So together they wrote several spells down on a scroll.

They felt bad that the humans will struggle all through their life then die miserably so they wrote down a spell strong enough to lengthen one's life.

They wrote a spell that could enchant weapons and make them strong enough to cut a dragon in half.

They wrote spells strong enough to let women bear children without having to go through pains, they wanted to override the original punishment The Creator had placed on women in attornment for the sin committed by Eve.

They wrote spells that could make men flourish without having to go through life's struggles.

They wrote spells strong enough to break all curses.

All these and many more were the spells they wrote.

When The Creator found out, He was enraged, He found their decisions to be reckless, so as a punishment they were made to live on earth as humans, and go through the struggles themselves in atonement for their sins.

But they did something much worse, they mated with humans and this resulted in the birth of hybrid beasts (Half human, half Beasts).

Majority refused to mate with the humans so they atoned for their sins and were received in heaven.

EIGHT BEASTS WERE BORN:

A Werewolf , A Gorgon , A Nine tailed fox, A Mermaid, A Siren, A Centaur, A Banshee and An ogre.

The humans made it a total of nine clans, until the war between clans when three clans were banished into another realm and one was reduced to nothing. The Mermaids and Sirens merged into one clan paving way for the Witchers (Wizards and Witches) to become a clan.

IN THE LIBRARY

Herdis ran her fingers through the Books on the shelves but found none that piqued her interest.

"Ugh, this isn't working Rebekah, I can't find anything intriguing, all the books here are just historical books." She complained.

"Well werewolves do take their history quite seriously." Rebekah replied.

"Well it's unfortunate that there is no book on historical romance then, how can a library this huge have barely few books on romance."

"It wasn't exactly few, Milady, you just happen to be a fast reader. Though I like to believe that there are other thrilling books here. There are specific shelves for several genres here, from suspense, to crime, horror, mythical, crime and so on."

"Well it's a shame there is no shelf for historical romance."

"Well there used to be a small shelf for such a genre, though the shelf was taken apart I believe the books were stored somewhere. Hold on Milady, I will go check for it."

Herdis stared at Rebekah who remained crouched down on the ground searching through several boxes and drawers.

"Why was the shelf taken apart?" Herdis asked.

"Well, the shelf belonged to Princesses Yves, but after her death Prince Xerxes ordered for it to be taken apart."

"Why did he give such an order?"

Rebekah lets out a sigh then replies in a daze. "I guess he was hurt.'

'I am starting to think that Rebekah has feelings for Xerxes. She had the same look in her eyes when she spoke about their first meeting. I really wish I could ask her but I don't want to poke my nose.' Herdis said to herself.

"Were they close?" Herdis asked.

"Huh, who?"

"Xerxes and Yves."

"Oh, yes there was, he fancied her more than he did his twin."

"Wait Xerxes had a twin?"

"Yes he did. Prince Xerxed was his twin. The Castle used to be filled with so much joy whenever those two were around, they were mischievous and funny. Ever since his passing Prince Xerxes has never smiled; he is almost as cold as The Crown Prince."

Realizing what she had just said she apologizes. "Forgive me Milady, that came out wrongly."

Herdis laughed loudly then said. "It's okay Rebekah."

"Oh, I have found it, it's in this box." Rebekah announced, happily.

Rebekah brought out a medium sized box and placed it on a reading table, which brought out a wave of dust resulting in the Ladies coughing uncontrollably.

"Forgive me Milady, I thought I cleaned off the dust properly."

"It's Fine, Rebekah."

Rebekah opens up the box and brings out the books one after the other, handing them to Herdis. Herdis placed each book down until she found one in particular that intrigued her.

"Oh my Gosh, EUPHORIA. This is a limited edition."

"Is it a popular book, Milady?"

"It's more than popular, Rebekah it's, it's,..

There's no word to describe it's simply amazing. It's part of a series. I couldn't get this one in particular because I ran out of money."

"Then this was a good idea."

"Of course. ohh, let's look for the other parts, I want to read it again from the start."

"What are their titles?"

"ZENITH and UNCANNY."

"They don't sound like romance novels, though."

"Don't judge a book by its title Rebekah, it's actually one of the greatest romance novels of all time."

Books after books Rebekah and Herdis searched until….

"Not this one"." Rebekah said and was about to toss the book aside.

"Hold on Rebekah, let me take a look at the book."

After handing the book to Herdis she said, "Oh it's not the book we are searching for, it seems to be about some ancient symbol."

"It's somewhat similar to Thordak."

"What's that?"

"It's an ancient writing used by the early Witchers. It involves the constructive use of lines and dots to form symbols that represent letters. This looks like a more advanced verse but what could Yves be doing with a Witchers book. Is there someone I can ask about this?"
