Ring

Kieran looked at Ryker who was lying on the floor....Dead. The only thing he felt right now was satisfaction.

"Finally...." Kieran muttered.

He had finally exerted his first revenge, and it felt good. The fact that someone who showed him hell was now dead, and killed by his own hands was really satisfying.

"Never would I have thought I would kill Ryker..." Kieran muttered as he stared at the Lightning Spear that he was still holding.

As he was slightly lost in his thoughts, the system screen suddenly materialized in front of him.

[Ryker is dead]

[Congratulations, you have completed the quest]

[Rewards will now be given]

[You have gained a Rank 2 Dagger]

[You have gained 25 Revenge Points]

[Congratulations, you have completed your first quest]

Kieran stood still as he read the words that were displayed on the system screen.

But then, he realized something.

"Ryker is dead, and his guards will surely notice that he is taking too much time to return, so they'll come looking for him," Kieran muttered.

And that could only mean one thing.....

"I have to leave this place now," Kieran muttered.

Quickly realizing that, he looked at the Lightning Spear that he was still holding, and tried to make it disappear, but he couldn't.

"Aghh, I don't understand this, how do I make it disappear?" Kieran asked.

[Just like the way you activated the skill, deactivate it like that]

Immediately Kieran saw the words on the screen, he instantly understood.

He remembered that he just thought about activating the skill, and it was instantly activated, so he just had to do the same thing.

Immediately, Kieran thought about deactivating the skill, and when he looked at his hand, the Lightning Spear was no longer there.

"Good," Kieran muttered as moved onto the next task.

Kieran was observant. Ever since he woke up, he had been observing his body, and from the look of things, he wasn't in the best condition at all, in fact, from the state of the clothes he was wearing, and the odour his body was producing, he knew that it would be a hassle to keep going like this.

But the most worrying thing was the fact that his stomach has been speaking different languages ever since he woke up, and he didn't need anyone to translate it for him... It was definitely hunger.

"If I don't get food, I don't know how long I'll survive, I have to get something to eat quick," Kieran muttered.

And that was why he was doing this now.

He walked towards Ryker's dead body, and bent down. They were in the middle of the alley, and people weren't passing much, so no one noticed him.

Moreover, people tagged the alley as a place where wretched individuals without homes lived, so they had the mentality that it was dirty, and smelly, so no one even looked at it, talk less of entering it.

That just went on to further proved how dumb Ryker was.

Kieran had to be fast, so he instantly got down to business.

He looked at Ryker's fingers, and his eyes darted to the rings he was wearing.

Ryker was wearing five rings, three on the right hand, and two on his left hand.

Yes, Kieran planned to take one of the rings, he would be able to make a good amount if he sold one, but of course, he was cautious.

Ryker was a noble, so his rings would be expensive.

Kieran knew that, so he planned to take the less expensive one, so that it wouldn't be noticed.

If he took the more expensive ones, there would be too much questions attached to it, so taking the less expensive one was better.

"The buyer will still know I stole it, but at least, he won't ask questions," Kieran muttered.

Kieran stared at the rings, and he instantly noticed the one that was less expensive.

It was just a silver colored ring that didn't have any gem attached to it, so Kieran knew that it's wouldn't be too expensive.

Immediately, he removed the ring from Ryker's finger, and kept it in his pocket.

Now, that was done.

With nothing left to do, Kieran finally decided to leave. He looked at Ryker's body one more time, before leaving through the other entrance of the alley.

The guards were near the front entrance of the alley, so there was no way they would see Kieran.

Kieran successfully exited the alley, and entered the street.

Without turning back, or looking at anyone, he continued walking forward.

The street was bustling as usual, and everyone went about, carrying out their daily activities.

Kieran didn't bother to look at the houses or even the faces of the people, he just kept walking, with one destination in mind....

A jewelry store.

He knew the kind of jewelry store he had to go to, so he continued walking.

His eyes darted from left to right, looking at different stores as he walked past.

All he could see were luxurious jewelry stores, and he knew he wouldn't be able to sell the ring there, because they wouldn't even allow him to enter in the first place, so he continued walking.

In a matter of seconds, he saw a jewelry store that wasn't too big, but it was still approachable.

Instantly, he walked towards the store, and looked at the owner.

"Hey kid, you wanna buy something?" A middle-aged man with black hair asked as he looked at Kieran.

The look on his face made it clear that he was trying to hide the disdain.

Well, looking at Kieran, it didn't really look like he had anything to offer.

"No, I want to sell something," Kieran said as he gazed at the store owner sharply.

His sharp eyes surprised the store owner a bit, but he quickly regained his composure.

"Let me have a look," he said to Kieran.

Without saying anything, Kieran dipped his hand into his pocket, and brought out the ring.

The man's eyes widened a bit immediately he saw the ring. It was clear that it wasn't cheap at all, after all, it was from a noble.

Well, Kieran just wanted to get this done fast, because he had some rewards to check out.

'What the hell is Revenge Points?'
