NOT MY BOYFRIEND, MY BROTHER

Jake exchanged greetings with the bouncer.

' Will, your companion is very beautiful.' The bouncer says.

' My girlfriend. I wake up smiling these days.' Jake says.

' What a lucky fool you are! Listen gorgeous, if he upsets you and you want to break up come find me.' The bouncer says winking at Jenny White.

' B*stard! Flirting with my girlfriend in front of me.' Jake says teasingly.

' Fool, take the lady inside already.' The bouncer says.

The two walk inside.

' What was that about?' Jenny White asks.

' A companion is like a hired woman while your girlfriend is well your girlfriend.' Jake says.

' A hired woman?' Jenny White asks.

' Let's put it this way. Your companion can be your partner today and then someone else's tomorrow or even later tonight While your girlfriend is your girlfriend till whenever you two get tired and is strictly out of bounds. This is the simplest form I can explain it as.' Jake says.

' You mean if your partner is a companion then she's receiving payment to follow you just like the way a ***** would but your girlfriend is someone you are serious about.' Jenny White says.

Jake was speechless (again). He tried his best to sound less vulgar but this woman....

Forget it, don't bother.

They walked in. It wasn't as messy and chaotic as she imagined.

They were tables with people around. Some were drinking, having barbecue, holding hands, whispering or kissing. Some were getting up to book private rooms to continue *cough cough* unfinished business. On the stage a man was performing a dance and he twisted his body as if he had no bones.

Jake pulled her along to a table and ordered a bottle of wine and a bottle of soft drink for Jenny White.

' Look at that lady in yellow, she has dreamy Phoenix eyes!! See the one with the blue top, I like her wavy hair. Wow look at the one with pink stripes, her tattoo looks really good.' Jake says.

Jake was whispering into Jenny White's ear because of the loud music. Jenny White was speechless. How could there be someone so.... Weird??

' If you like them so much, why don't you go talk to them?' Jenny White leaned in and whispered back.

Jake swallowed. Her hot breath tickled his earlobe and her voice was mellow and sweet.

' What are you thinking?' Jenny White says.

' What does it matter? It takes one minute to gain interest and one sentence to lose interest.' Jake replies dejectedly.

' What do you mean?' Jenny White asks.

' I'm sure I'm interested in the lady and I walk up to talk to her and somehow I lose interest. Maybe I don't like her perfume, her face looks altered, her voice doesn't sound good or she says something that makes me forget what interested me in the first place.' Jake says.

' Oh, it means you just want eye candy.' Jenny White replied.

' What do you mean?' Jake asks.

' It means you just like their face and have no interest in no other thing. Just sheer admiration for beauty.' Jenny White replied.

Jake had a look of understanding. He knew he wasn't just being frivolous when he liked one girl one moment and another the next.

The two had their barbecue and drinks while watching the performance.

Jake and Jenny White returned to the house and met the pile of things that was delivered.

' You guys are back.' Xavier says as soon as he spotted them.

' Women and shopping. Don't you guys never have too much clothes?' Leo says.

' What clothes? She didn't buy any clothes for herself. I only bought one for her. You needed to see the way she was negotiating price at BongMoon, it was so embarrassing.' Jake says.

The other 6 had their ears perked up for gossip.

' Then who bought all these?' Oliver asks.

'She bought them. A total of 2 million won, not for herself but for her boyfriend. You needed to see the way she personally inspected each of them carefully. What love does to people?' Jake says sighing dramatically.

' 2 million won!!! For a boyfriend? How much equipment can I buy with that?' Ace says dreamily.

Jenny White returned from washing her hands and met the 7 guys looking at her with complicated gazes.

' What's wrong with all of you?' She says.

' And I thought you had common sense, letting a guy suck you dry. Yet you come here acting tough with us.' Leo says clicking his tongue.

' Miss White, guys who make you spend much money on them are not worth your time. You should break up with him before you become bankrupt.' Xavier says giving a friendly advice.

' Break up with who?' Jenny White asks confused.

' Your boyfriend. I didn't expect you to be a blind lover. Oh well, can anyone be as smart as me ?' Oliver says.

' I don't have a boyfriend.' Jenny White replies.

' No need to deny it. Xavier told us about his phone call last night.' Jake says.

Jenny White was speechless.

' That was my younger brother.' She says.

Aiden who had just taken a sip of his juice choked on it.

' Brother? How? Liam didn't you say he said that they hugged at the airport and promised to call each other every day?' Xavier says.

Liam glared at Xavier. Wasn't he doing just fine as a spectator? Why drag him into the show?

' Can't a little brother hug his sister at the airport and why can't I talk to him everyday?' Jenny White says exasperated.

The seven guys went silent.

' So you bought all these for him?' Ace says.

' He is my brother. How can I travel and not bring him anything?' Jenny White says.

' What a lucky guy!' Xavier murmured.

' Hold on a second! Liam understands Xin too? And why were you eavesdropping on my conversation?' Jenny White says.

' I am not feeling too well. I need to go to bed. Good night.' Liam says as he stands up and speed walk upstairs.

Jenny White: Not feeling well? With your speed, you could try out for the Olympics.

' He's trying to run away. I'll go get him.' Aiden says as he hurried away.

Jenny White: He went in the opposite direction Mister.

' Hello, hello. I think the network is bad let me try moving around.' Ace says with his phone on his ear Walking away.

Jenny White: Sir your phone is facing the wrong way, I can see your lock screen.

' I think Aiden is calling me. I'll be right back.' Oliver says as he leaves.

Jenny White: Either we are all deaf or you have the hearing of a dog.

' Oh no! I just remembered I have something on the fire.' Xavier says as he walls away.

Jenny White: I didn't know we had a kitchen upstairs.

Jake racked his head for an excuse. Forget who was he kidding? He wasn't smart enough to come up with an excuse then he could just.....

Jenny White: Dude why are you running?

Jenny White turned to look at Leo.

' What is it? Don't think I'm scared of you.' Leo says pointing at her.

Jenny White: I'll pretend that I can't see your trembling fingers.

' Humph! I'm sick of your face, I'm going to bed.' Leo says and walked away holding the banisters so his trembling legs won't give way.

Jenny White: '....'
