THE OTHER SIDE OF RUTH

At sunrise, everyone in Roland’s household including Marcus became fully aware of Ruth’s accident in school except for the servants who knew beforehand. Roland received the news with mixed feelings and ignorance rather than being angry about what had happened to his daughter though he showed signs of being sympathetic when he first heard it directly from his wife the other night. Having been informed of the meeting with the Principal at his daughter’s school, Roland and his family apart from his son, ate their breakfast and left the mansion early in the morning to be punctual at the Principal’s office.
