Suspicious Housemate

Zayde heaved a sigh and walked back to where the rods were placed. He stretched out his hands above the rods, imagining a weapon in his head.

He thought of a sword, with his initials at the base, his name signed on the not so metallic base.

The blade being split from the center, one longer than the other. Exactly as he had imagined, a black light shone around the rods and his hand, the rods levitated from the table, hovering in the air with an aura similar to his.

He transferred a bit of his mana energy into it, causing it to glow intensely. The rods melted slowly, forming a pool of black liquid that floated above Zayde's hand.

With a wave of his hand, the liquid came together, taking a form, like Zayde had thought, he watched it descend to the platform, solidifying from the base with his initials engraved on it, to the blades that were darker than silver.

He heaved a sigh, the moment the blade had taken on its form completely and had solidified. He picked it up, threw it to Ravena who raised it up to the statues eyes.

"We did the task, Can you give us access now?"

"Yes, But you must keep the keys safe," The statue replied, unmoving. "The blade is the key, but has to take on the form of a key, hold it up to the gate and memorize the shape of the key for i will not be here to show you again."

"Seems Logical," Zayde shrugged, he took the sword from her and moved to the gate, he held it up against the massive structure and gazed up at the statue.

Suddenly, the Blades broke apart but came back together, forming a key that Zayde could assume was like a comb with less teeth. He pushed it into the key hole that also appeared. Twisted it and heard the sound of unlocking behind the gate.

He stepped back slowly, panic finding its way into his body, as he stared into the void beyond the door, wondering if it was safe or not because he did not want to take a risk knowing he had not fully healed.

Ravena held onto him for protection, goosebumps rising on her skin as the intense aura from within the gate haunted her.

However, to their greatest surprise, Ash's head popped out, creating a ripple effect in the void that was actually black liquid.

"You finally opened It," Ash smiled, relieved for reasons Zayde failed to understand. "I got Lost inside," he laughed nervously, "Get in, I found a nice place and it's at an affordable price."

"Affordable price?" Ravena asked, then she gasped, "How secured is it?"

"Fire alarms, Key locks, we could install cameras, there is a basement for your workshop. And," he paused, moving his gaze to Zayde who showed no interest in what he was saying. "Free wifi," He concluded and slowly went back into the void, leaving Ravena and Zayde to battle with their thoughts

"Wifi."

"My workshop."

They both uttered at the same time, the excitement in both voices. Zayde nodded slowly and strolled into void after taking hold of the key, Ravena followed behind, commanding all gates to be locked.

They appeared on the other side of the threshold gate; after walking in and out of different gates–five at most. Standing before an apartment, similar to that of Ash's but it looked more modern.

Ravena walked up the few stairs, inhaling and exhaling since she was nervous about speaking to someone besides Zayde, Ash or her soldiers.

She placed a gentle knock on the door, that was replied to by a soft voice.

The door flung open forcefully, almost hitting Ravena if she hadn't moved back. A blonde girl stood there, bright green eyes that had pure evil in them.

"You must be the new tenant," she shrieked and threw her arms around Ravena. "I am Arya Noxious, your house mate and new friend. You must be..."

She trailed off, scanning Ravena from head to toe, "You're not the hot guy that came here, Where is he?"

Ravena frowned, frozen and unsure of what to say, she hadn't imagined the person she would face was a girl her age was who, in her words, –Was more beautiful and looked like a normal human girl.

Arya pushed her aside and hurried to where Ash and Zayde stood, she bowed politely before them, starting a conversation almost immediately and Ravena's mood turned gloomy.

Zayde who had noticed Ravena was silent, raised his head and saw her lost in her thoughts bur her eyes were on them. A smile found its way to his face, he glanced down at Arya and back at Ravena.

"Arya, right?" She nodded frantically, "You see that girl over there?" She glanced at Ravena her eyes going cold immediately, causing a smirk on his face. 'The perfect way to get the demon out of her, perfect.'

"She is his sister, and is a very important person in my life," He said, observing her expression carefully. He noticed her brows furrowed just before she gave a flawless smile that anyone would fall for.

"Is she your girlfriend?" She whispered, hoping deep down she was not but when Zayde smiled, her smile fell.

He took a step closer to her and whispered, "Don't get me wrong, She is important but far more from being my girlfriend. I would not even dare call it love."

"But she is important and I will appreciate, since you are our roommate, you both get along perfectly, or else, her brother over there will do the honour of turning you into a bloody mess," He stated, his voice guttery and low enough to invoke a sense of fear into her. He walked towards the house, patted Ravena's head and led her Into the house.

Ash flashed a smile at her and held out his hand, "Don't be scared, I wouldn't hurt a fine creature like you."

"You both have the same eyes," She uttered, her voice barely in a whisper, "Are you related to him?"

"Absolutely not, But we are what mortals call, bestfriends."

"No we are not!" Zayde yelled from within the house and Ash only chuckled.

He turned to her, still having his charming smile, "Believe me dear, I will not hurt you."

"But you will bite or stab me?"

"Uhm, I won't hurt you," He grinned, hoping she wouldn't see beyond his smile and luckily she didn't, she mirrored his smile and walked ahead of him into the house. While Ash followed, his eyes following the movements of her hips.

"It will be fun ruining you Arya," He whispered as he closed the door behind him. He turned around and took in the scenery before him.

A black and grey interior design that was similar to Zayde's initial apartment, only that there were no floor to ceiling windows. Sofas positioned in a U style, while the wide screen TV was hung against the wall.

Zayde hid his excitement, he turned to Arya with a stoic expression, "I will share a room with Rave, Ash you stay alone," He dragged the word slowly and glanced at Arya, "Four bedrooms right?"

"Yes."

"Great, We could use the other if i ruin mine. Last room along the hallway, correct?"

She stared at him in disbelief as she nodding slowly.

"Lovely." He smiled and whispered something to Ravena that made her cheeks swell and darken, he held her hands and dragged her behind him, up the stairs that led to the second floor.

Ash leaned closer to her and chuckled, "They do crazy things when he is in a good mood."

"Oh. But I do not mind actually. I don't even have any interest in what they are doing," She replied, crossing her arms under her breasts.

Ash scoffed and took a step closer, "He has charms no girl can resist, The nonchalant Playboy kinda attitude, but he is not. As much as I hate to say it, once he sets his eyes on something, he gets it... Loyalty"

He cornered her against the wall and raised her head up with his fingers under her chin, "I on the other hand, have no interest in playing or being loyal. I actually don't care. But for the first time, well after my sister, You managed to attract me."

"Attract? I am sorry but I am not interested," She replied briefly when his gaze and presence became more intimidating.

Ash leaned closer and kissed her forehead, "I am not talking about that kind of attraction, Kid."

"I am talking about the aura you carry and you just happened to appear with a house when we are desperately in need of one. Tell me Arya, What made you want to get closer to us when you are supposed to kill us?"

Arya shoved him back and stepped away from him, "I appreciate if you do not accuse me of something insane, I have no interest in your friend or you, I might be a soldier but I disobeyed my duties because you are in need. So if you will excuse me," She angrily said and exited the living room.

Ash raised his head to his face and chuckled dryly, "The pretence and deceit within that voice, just the thrill I have been searching for, I will find out who you are Arya, even if I die trying."
