Chapter 20: It’s So Hot

“Mr. Evans, you smell so familiar. Have we met before?” she asked, her eyes watery and glazed, her lips slightly pouting. She was so tempting that Dave struggled to resist the urge to kiss her.

“And how did you know about the birthmark on my neck?” she slurred.

Dave’s expression darkened. He looked into her doe-like eyes and leaned in close to whisper in her ear.

“Because I saw it myself.”

He had seen every part of her body before.

“It’s so hot,” Bianca exclaimed, suddenly trying to pull down her dress.

Her dress already had a low neckline, and if she kept pulling at it, she would expose her breasts.

Dave quickly stopped her and then glanced at Zane vigilantly through the rearview mirror.

Meeting Dave’s stern gaze, Zane quickly looked away and coughed nervously.

“Look again, and you’ll lose your job,” Dave warned in a threatening tone.

Zane shuddered. He hadn’t meant to pry, but his curiosity had gotten the better of him. He had worked for Dave for years, but he had never seen his boss in this situation. It was surprising to see Dave allowing a drunk woman to behave this way.

The car soon arrived at the Waterfront Apartments, a luxurious complex in the heart of the city. It was one of Dave’s private properties.

Bianca was completely drunk. As soon as Zane parked the car, Dave carefully lifted Bianca and carried her toward the house.

Dave carried Bianca to the bedroom, gently placing her on the bed. He couldn’t resist smoothing her messy hair.

“It’s so hot. I’m so thirsty…” Bianca, with a face as red as a tomato, suddenly grabbed Dave’s arm, her dry lips slightly parted as she panted.

“Wait here. I’ll get you some water.” Dave tucked her under the silk blanket before heading to the kitchen.

The house had been vacant for a while, though a housekeeper came once a week to clean. Despite being the owner, Dave was unfamiliar with the place.

It took him a while to find a glass in the kitchen cabinet. After washing it, he went to the water dispenser, only to find it empty. With a frown, he had to search for a kettle to boil tap water.

When he returned to the bedroom, Bianca had kicked off the blanket and pulled her dress down to her waist, exposing her upper body completely.

Dave’s eyes widened in shock. He hurried to the bed, reaching for the blanket to cover Bianca. Suddenly, soft hands wrapped around him from behind and pulled him down. Caught off guard, he lost his balance and fell on top of Bianca.

Their skin touched, and Dave froze, his usual composed expression replaced by blankness.

“Your skin is so cold. It feels nice,” Bianca murmured with her eyes closed, holding him tightly and squirming as if trying to get closer to his cool touch.

Dave pushed himself up, his eyes filled with desire as he looked at the woman beneath him.

“Do you know what you’re doing?” he growled, his voice low and husky, fiddling with his collar.

It took all his self-control to restrain himself.

“Water…I need water…” Bianca whispered, her lips parting slightly.

Before she could say more, Dave silenced her with a kiss.

Feeling his cold lips on hers, Bianca eagerly kissed him back as if trying to fulfill an insatiable need. But Dave’s kiss was so intense that it almost overwhelmed her. Gasping for air, she pushed against his chest, trying to break free, but he held her firmly by the back of her neck, not allowing her to escape.

Only when she bit his lip did Dave pull back, but then he started kissing her delicate neck, moving down slowly.

Bianca wrapped her arms around his neck, her sweet scent filling his nostrils. It was like a drug, leaving Dave completely captivated.

Just as he was about to lose control, he suddenly stopped.

With years of experience in the business world, Dave has developed strong self-control. He managed to snap out of it and get out of bed.

Bianca was too drunk to know what she was doing, and Dave was aware of this. Despite their mutual desire, he couldn’t take advantage of her in this state.

As he got out of bed, Dave couldn’t help but wonder why Bianca had shown up in his hotel room that night and acted like she didn’t know him when they met again.

He knew he couldn’t let his guard down until he found the answers to these questions.

It took Dave a while to calm down. He sat at the edge of the bed and watched Bianca from a safe distance. Her long eyelashes fluttered like butterfly wings, and her face wasn’t red anymore but pink like a peach.

She was really beautiful, but not in a way that would make any man weak. Instead, she was like a white lily blooming in the sun, pure and pleasant to look at.

Seeing that she had fallen asleep, Dave covered her with the silk blanket and quietly left the room, closing the door behind him.

Back in the living room, Dave saw the untouched kettle in the kitchen. He sighed, feeling helpless.

Feeling thirsty after what happened, and with Bianca asleep, he decided to finally drink some water.

The next morning, sunlight streamed through the window, waking Bianca up. She immediately felt a dull headache.

Frowning, she tried to remember what happened the night before. She recalled going to a bar and having a few drinks. Then, some men tried to take advantage of her. It was Dave who showed up and saved her.

This realization made Bianca snap to attention. She sat up in bed, lifting the blanket, and saw that her dress had been pulled down to her waist, leaving only a bra covering her breasts.

Her eyes widened as she vaguely remembered hugging him tightly and kissing him.

But she couldn’t remember what happened next. ‘Did they... do it?’

Bianca scolded herself for her actions and sighed, straightening her dress. She planned to leave quietly. But when she opened the bedroom door, the smell of breakfast greeted her nose. Curious, she followed the scent to the kitchen, where she found Dave cooking.

“Mr. Evans?”

Dave was frying an egg. He turned to see Bianca standing at the kitchen door, looking surprised.

“Good morning.” Dave looked quite domesticated and gentle, wearing an apron and holding a spatula, a far cry from his usual cold demeanor.

Seeing Bianca’s shocked expression, Dave explained, “I like cooking breakfast when I have the time.”

Bianca bit her lip, feeling awkward.

“Mr. Evans, last night... What happened between us?”
