Rosette’s POV
It’s the day of us heading out to the camping spot so we are ready for the battle that will come tomorrow. I walk to Thaddeus’ office and knock on the door softly. When I hear Thaddeus’ voice, I walk in and go up to his desk hesitantly. “Thad?” I ask softly, apprehension on my face. He looks up at me, curiosity in his red eyes. “I’m sorry if I’m bothering you, but-”
“Rosette, you’re not bothering me,” he cuts me off. “What is it?”
“Can I pack my things in your bag?” I question timidly. “I haven’t unpacked much, seeing as I figured we’d be sharing a room soon…” He smiles at me as he stands out of his seat and steps over to me. He leans down a bit as he hugs me to him.
“Of course you can, my little mate,” he pecks my head. “It’s why I put my bag on your bed earlier after I finished packing what I needed to.”
“Really?” I peer up at him, riddled with anxiety.
