Rosette POV
We get to the human village and see that all of the humans have been cleared out before we got here.
“At least we won’t harm any humans,” I sigh, a frown on my face as I look around at the once lively settlement.
“It’ll go back to normal soon,” Thaddeus rubs my back. “It’ll be grander when we help rebuild.”
“You’re right,” I smile up at him. He pulls me into his side, hugging me to him.
“Alright, everyone,” Michael calls out to everyone that came with us. “We’re going to set up camp for the night. Tomorrow, we go to war. You need to be well rested and alert. Those of us that aren’t fighting, meaning the other Elders, myself, Hank and Perseus, will take watch tonight.”
“I’ll set up our tent,” Thaddeus leans down and pecks my head before walking off to a secluded area away from the others. I turn around and go searching for my dad. It doesn’t take me long as I find him setting up a sleeping bag underneath a well-foliage tree.
