CHAPTER SEVEN

"Mom and Dad, I hope this message finds you well. I'd like you to meet Christian, a friend I've come to trust in this brief yet meaningful time. Dad, rest assured, there's no need to worry. I've taken on the responsibility of my own life, paying my bills and managing just fine. Still, even after a year, I miss the warmth of your presence. But I believe in my strength to carry on." She smiled, her eyes glistening with tears, a testament to her enduring love and resilience.

"Hello Mr and Mrs Walker. I'm Christian that Hannah mentioned a while ago. And I apologize for the deceit, for concealing the truth from your daughter. I've known her since our sophomore days, a silent sea harboring a tempest within. I longed for her friendship, but my efforts went unnoticed. Whenever I tried to speak, her replies came without a glance. My attempts to connect were met with indifference. It seemed fate toyed with me, for just as I decided to let go, she crossed my path again. I'm also sorry for seeking out information about her without her knowing."

Christian said looking into her deep eyes holding a lot of emotions all at once.

"So you knew me all along." Hannah was visibly mad and Christian didn't like the way fate turned into.

It wasn't his intention to deceive her like how it turned to be. He just played along as long as she spoke to him and now it seems that it wasn't the case.

"Trust me Hannah I never want to let you down. I'm sorry Han."

Christian doesn't expect her to forgive him immediately but doesn't want her to let go of him.

"Christian, listen I know you had your own reasons. And I appreciate your honesty just now. Just that I need time to process things. You could've just told me when you had the opportunity." Hannah confronts with expectant eyes.

"I told you. I gave you hints. But seems like your stupid brain haven't noticed it. In the Yolkshire Dales, when you said you wanted to visit there with your parents, I told you they'd live in your soul. I thought you'd figure out how I knew that your parents are dead when you haven't told me that." He said making a joke out of it trying to ease the situation and it absolutely worked.

"Perfect, and now I'm being blamed. CHRISTIAN BECKETT! You're gonna be a dead meat tonight." Hannah chases Beckett ready to murder him for his humour.

" Wait a minute, how did you know my last name?" Hannah asked him suspiciously squinting her eyes.

"Huh?" Christian asked clueless about what she figured out after being called stupid.

"HOW DID YOU KNOW MY LAST NAME? You said Hello Mr and Mrs Walker. How? And also said that you gathered information without my knowledge. What was that?"

Hannah asked for clarification.

"Well, when you ran into me last time.... your personal diary.... fell."

He said being nervous about what could fall on his head right now. Could it be a rock? Or could it be bigger than that?

Before she could do anything to kill him.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I swear, I never read anything apart from your head being stuck inside a flower vase. I was just curious about the title you gave it, you know?!" Christian said playing the victim card again triggered her more.

The well known Christian Beckett is very bad at coaxing. He just dug his own grave.

" You're surely a dead meat." She said as she hit him simultaneously.
