A Fight, And History

Vinera didn't have any shield on her so Noah could only guess.

'She changed to boxing?'

Vinera rushed towards Noah holding a boxing stance.

'I guess she did'

Although Vinera did learn boxing during the whole month she didn't fully abandon her shield style yet, because during the whole month when they were training she could only receive the onslaught of attack that came from Noah, Zenith, and Freyja and couldn't counterattack because she only trained her defense before.

So she thought about it, from a full defense to a full offense style, even if she abandoned her defense her skills can make up for it, [Protectors Oath] additional buff gets stronger the more she wants to protect, so even if her fighting style maybe on full offense, in theory she is still protecting someone so [Protectors Oath] activates.

Noah didn't shy away though.

'It's been a while since I fought fist by fist, don't dissapoint me now'

Noah got ready for Vinera, although Vinera is holding a boxing stance, she kicked Noah with her left leg.

'So not just boxing, got it'

Noah blocked the kick with his knee and threw a right hand hook the moment his leg came down, Vinera blocked it with her shoulder then she wanted to counter but Noah's left hook is faster and connected with her face making her stagger backwards.

Noah smirked "Come again"

Vinera removed the blood from her nose.

Then she rushed towards Noah again but changed her attack.

She didn't throw any punch but went to hug Noah into a wrestle move.

Noah saw through her move and moved sideways and giving her a kick on the stomach but Vinera didn't stop and continued with her grab and she did.

"You can't escape now"

Noah is in front of Vinera while Vinera is hugging him on the chest.

"Is that so?" So Noah did the most basic thing to get out of such situation, he headbutted Vinera making her dizzy again.

"See as easy as that" Noah said while spreading his hands.

Vinera's passive skill cannot activate, because what is she protecting during this friendly one on one? Although she can force it like before but it won't give her that much advantage so she just used a different skill.

[Protectors Rush] - (Level 1) makes the user rush towards the opponent 2× faster without any interruption, dealing 5× of damage CD-1min MC-50.

(CD=Cooldown MC=Mana Consumption)

Noah didn't expect Vinera's sudden burst of speed so he got hit on the chest making him jump a meter away.

'Sh** that hurts'

Vinera smiled "How about that HAHAHA"

"You don't specialize on End so that should hurt a lot"

"It indeed did, damn"

Noah has to end this fight already because he doesn't know the cd of that skill.

It's a first time for Noah to see this skill of Vinera because everytime he fought her before he kept his distance, and Vinera also didn't find any opportunity to use such skill.

Noah rushed at Vinera holding a boxing stance, Noah gave a feint jab, Vinera expected a jab so she raised her hand but a kicked reached her right sideside instead.

Noah didn't stop his attack and then threw an uppercut, making Vinera dizzy again, then the finishing move Noah went behind Vinera and choked Vinera.

Noah noticed Vinera's whole body limp so he let her go.

Brad also stepped forward "okay that's enough, Noah won"

Brad and Freyja went to Vinera to check her condition and she is just sleeping.

'That's a good choke, can't believe he is an Int class and an Int class won against a End class in a close combat' Brad thought with interest.

"That was a good fight Noah, but it went against the true meaning of this one on one matches, I conducted this matches to see your skills but I guess I will see yours another time" Brad said smiling.

Then turned to face the rest of the class.

"I know all of you are tired after fighting so the class for today is done" Then as usual he turned to the door and left.

All the students also dispersed.

Noah went to help Freyja carry Vinera.

"Hey that was my bad, I got a little excited and it resulted in this" He pointed at the sleeping Vinera.

"...that is normal, how do you know so much about close combat anyway, you didn't show that during the training before

"It's just inefficient"

And Freyja agreed.

'Yes...his skills doesn't benefit with close combat so it really is inefficient'

"Let's take Vinera to the infirmary, she might have some damage, and for you to get fixed as well"

After they dropped off Vinera at the infirmary, the doctor said that she might not wake up in a while so they went to the cafeteria to get food.

"That is a lot of food selections..."

After getting what they want they found a seat.

While eating someone approached them, they looked up at saw a chubby guy staring at them, and asked them "are you the guy who made Vinera go to the infirmary" He asked with an angry expression.

"And if I was?" Noah asked back.

His answer seem to irritate him more "How dare you, how dare you..."

It seems he didn't want to introduce himself so Noah asked Freyja.

"Hey you know this guy?"

"...yes, he is Frediano Aquilius a friend and he has a crush on Vinera so he is acting like that"

"Ohhh that make sense"

"Hey man, calm down Vinera is fine"

"No she is not! How dare you put her in that state, I Frediano Aquilius challenge you into a duel!"

"No" Then he stood up.

"Hey are you scared..." Frediano kept shouting as Noah and Freyja went out.

Frediano wanted to follow but he still haven't eaten

'I swear I will avenge you my Vinera' holding a picture of Vinera on a biceps pose.

'Kids and their crushes man'

"Hey where do you plan to go next" Freyja asked.

"I'm going to my room"

"Oh, I wanted to invite you to train because it's still early, but I guess I will go alone"

"Okay, see you tomorrow then" Then he left.

Freyja just stared at his back and sigh 'I wanted a good opponent, guess I will find Zenith'

The next day.

"For today I will lecture you about history, specifically about the start of how the world became what it is today"

"30 years ago the world suddenly expanded..."

30 years ago the world expanded by 5 times and the Countries rejoiced for a while not knowing the change that is about to happen.

With the world expansion caves also formed with some sort of portal leading inside, Countries ignored the sudden appearance of that many caves and that lead into a disaster.

Beings that is not from this world, Wolves with horns, Pigs that are burning, horses that is standing on two legs with weapons, and witches that uses magic came out of those caves and massacred civilians, towns, cities, and eventually a whole country.

Countries tried fighting such beings with Hot weapons and they were able to hold out for a while but the quantity of the enemies kept increasing, even with nuclear weapons not only did it not kill them, the radiation made them even stronger, but then they discovered Mana Stone, at first they thought it was dangerous but then someone mistakenly crushed it, they fount out they can also achieve powers like those beings.

With the newfound power, all surviving countries helped each other survive the chaos and so 30 years later only 25% of the world is regained and occupied by humanity, new countries are founded, namely.

The Freedom State on the West having the largest trading and economic territory.

The Jade Empire of the East having the best training grounds, producing one of the best awakeners.

The Homeland of the North possessing the largest and strongest military power.

And lastly the The Land of Wealth of the South, their territory contains all kinds of treasures, ranges from items and other things.

'Only some parts of it are searchable on the internet'

"So any questions about what I just talked about?"

Someone raised their hand.

"Yes you"

"What are the caves that you mentioned before sir?"

"Glad you asked, the caves or should I say The Dungeons"

"Dungeons are the place where those beings come from and we the awakeners are able to enter it, to destroy it from the inside making it something like a spawner"

"The inside is like a different world, possessing magical items that can be brought back here"

"That's about it"

"So any other questions?"

"Sir those dungeons also has ranks right?"

"Yes, we also got our Class system from it"

So a level 1-10 dungeon is an E-Class it's the same for the rankers,

11-20 is D-Class Dungeon

21-40 is C.

41-60 is B.

61-100 is A.

101-150 is S.

"Was that clear?"

They nodded, "So any other questions?"

No one raised a hand so Brad continued "It seems like our only lecture for this year is done"

'Only one?'

"The remaining classes are conducted outside the classroom or even inside of a dungeon"

"And since all of you already know about dungeons there's no need for me to explain"

"Starting tomorrow, our schedule will change, the start of class will remain the same however I will now personally train you"

Many of them got excited because of course they will be trained by an S-Class Ranker.

"There will be events every month agains each Class, so I have to train you so that you won't embarrass me to my fellow instructors and to your fellow students from different class"

"And speaking of which, each class will need to have a representative so anyone wants to volunteer?"

All of them stared at Freyja.

And as expected Freyja stood up.

"Okay all of you agree that Freyja Hildebrand will be the Class A representative?"

No one spoke, I mean she is already the whole year students representative so why go against it.

"Okay that's it for today then, I will see you tomorrow at the place were we conducted your one on one matches" Then leaves.

'A whole year training will be painful'

Noah sighed 'Just the Training of Jaimee alone is already hard, I don't know if it will be even harder than that'

As usual Noah stopped by at the cafeteria and on the afternoon he did his routine.

The next day Class A students gathered in front of Brad.

"Alright listen up, in the morning you will run around this training ground 20× as your warm up and some drills, in the afternoon I will conduct teamfights so the class has to be divided into 4"

'20 times?! This is like 400m stadium'

"This will be our activities everyday for the whole year you are here, and during weekends are different, there's a place in the school that has a Simulator for dungeons, in there you can train your skills against monsters" Brad finished speaking and the students got excited.

"I also heard about it, dungeon simulator..."

"Right only the school has one..."

"To actually enter this early on"

It's the same for Noah, because he can create new type of tactics inside the simulations.

'I have read about dungeon simulator in the internet, although you won't die inside you will still feel the damage you take'

'But that's fine, I had so many things I wanted to try before, so this simulator will make those come true'

'Man I can't wait'

Then Brad continued "But...only the top 5 will be chosen for free, those who wants to use it has to pay"

'Oh damn, I don't have any money so I have to at least be top 5'

"The payment is not money, but School Contributions"

'What?'

"To get school contribution is simple, go to the school commission center and take on tasks"

"Another is of course exchange Mana Stone for school contribution, and to get mana stones I know all of you already know how to"

Brad smiled "that's it, let's start our training shall we"
