Chapter 11

After the first lectures, before recess, Cassandra went up to Tate's office. She knocked and opened the door — after getting his permission — and walked inside. "Good morning, Mr Tate." She greeted and he acknowledged her.

Tate knew the reason why she had come. He had witnessed her seizure attack the previous day and worried for her. "How are you doing, Cassandra?" He asked as he stared straight into her eyes.

"I'm feeling fine, Mr Tate. Thank you." Cassandra guessed somewhere he had seen her attack, but she chose not to ask. "I've come to collect the key."

Tate nodded and opened one of the drawers, he retrieved a key out. The key had a tag with the number, "20", he gave it to her. "I'm sure Elijah told you you'd be sharing with a roommate." He said to her.

"He did. Thank you."

"You're most welcome." He graced a smile. "You'll find the rules in the hostel, you can leave now." He waved to the door and she left after thanking him again.

Elijah hadn't called her and she hadn't seen him either. She walked out of the university part of the school and to the other side. Georgia's Institution's hostel was a gate away. She walked through the gate and found the elevator inside the hostel building. She didn't know exactly what floor she she just pressed on the "20" button. When it pinged open, Cassandra exited the elevator and walked around the passageway in order to find her hostel, she did. The hostel wasn't locked so she pushed it open to find a girl in there. It was the same girl that had escorted her to Tate's office the previous day.

"Oh hi." She greeted with her soft voice.

"Hi." Cassandra greeted back with a smile and entered inside. The hostel was very spacious with two big beds on each side. Two different wardrobes, and two studies on each side. There were two other closed doors, Cassandra walked towards one and opened it. It was the bathroom.

"The other is the kitchen. It's a mini kitchen though." The girl said before Cassandra could open the other door, but she still did anyway.

"The hostel is nice." Cassandra noted. It was, indeed. It was very spacious. She loved how everything had it doubled so there wouldn't be invasion of privacy. The room was painted cream. One of the beds was covered in Louis Vuitton bedsheets and duvet, while the other was covered in Chanel bedsheets and duvet. She noticed the girl was unpacking into the wardrobe on her side. She had chosen the bed with Louis Vuitton covers. "I'll pack in tomorrow or next." It was easy to pack in the next day, she didn't have much clothings at her aunt's house anyway. But she wanted to stay more with her and not to forget she still worked. Remembering something about rules, she looks around the room and her eyes fell on the file on her study. She walked to it and picked it up.

Rule one; Do not arrive back at the hostel later than twelve p.m.

Rule two; Keep the hostel clean, always. Check up would be every week Saturdays.

Rule three; Less noise and more studying.

She could put up with three rules.

It was few minutes past five when Cassandra walked out of the institution with other students. Students entered inside their different rich cars and some greeted their parents. Some threw their bags on their driver. Impudent children, she thought. She walked through the parking lot towards the gate when her phone vibrated in her hand, she raised it up to see an unknown caller. She picked up.

"Are you through with your classes?" She couldn't mistake that voice for anyone else. Elijah. She graced a smile and looked around but there were a lot of black cars. She knew he liked riding black.

"Mm. I'm done for today." She said as she stopped walking and stood at a spot, not too eye-catching.

"You're still in the institution right? Wait for me, I'm coming." He told her and she nodded even though it was call.

"Okay." She bit her lips as she stopped herself from smiling wide. He hadn't ended the call, but it's obvious he focused on driving, she heard the sound of horns and people's voices. She didn't want to end it either.

Cassandra found a tree and leaned on it, waiting for him. She was excited to see him again and she wondered what this feeling was. She wondered why she was so happy meeting him and why his voice made her heart palpitate. She was turning crazy and she knew it.

"I'm here." She heard from her phone. "In the parking lot. Black McLaren." He told her.

Cassandra knew what a McLaren looked like, who wouldn't when such car was too eye-catching?! She noticed his car immediately and walked towards it, so many people gushed at the sight of the sleek car and Cassandra hid a blush as she opened the passenger's seat and entered inside. "Hi." She said and he smiled. She noticed he was wearing grey button up shirt and grey pants.

"How was lectures?" He asked coolly as he steered back and drove out of the school's gate.

"Boring, but we can manage." She laughed and he chuckled. "I collected my key, the room is comfortable. And thank you for the roommate. You guessed right, I wouldn't want to be alone." She looked at his side profile while he looked at the road. She noticed he gelled his hair back this time and didn't wear much ear piercings. He only wore a diamond stud and a simple diamond chain. "Are you going on a date?" She teased as her lips curled up.

"What do you think?" He looked at her amused and turned back to the road. I came to pick you up." Even though Cassandra partly knew the truth, her heart still skipped thousand beats when he said it.

I came to pick you up... It sounded like something a boyfriend would say to the girlfriend. He was so unhinged. "That's sweet." She chuckled to hide the blush on her face but all to no avail. They came to a stop and Cassandra looked at her side of the window while Elijah looked at her.

He had so much wanted to see her, he had suggested to pick her up. While driving to his mother's school, an idea popped inside his head.

Cassandra turned back to him to find him staring at her intently, another blush rose up her cheeks as she tried to smile despite his unfaltering gaze in her. "Why are we here?" She asked softly.

Elijah smiled and raised his hand u

p, tucking her hair behind her ear, "To get you clothes."
