Chapter two
"Wake up Ryan we're running late"Carly pulled on her brother's hair.
"Ugh stop! Carly! Let me sleep"Ryan yelled "how did you get in my room?!"
"Ryan!"
"What? Go to school Carly I'll take the day off today am so tried "he yarned
"Fine, sleep! Lazy bones am off to school I'll tell Jojo you didn't wanna come because you don't wanna see her "Carly walked out of his room.
Ryan got out of bed and rushed into the bath room to take a shower and brushed his teeth. When he got down stairs Carly was still having breakfast with Gwen.
"Good morning Ryan"Gwen greeted
"Morning Gwen"he parted her head.
"Hurry up and eat Ryan "Carly said.
Ryan shoved food into his mouth on seeing Isabella walking into the dining room.
"Gently Ryan, you'll choke yourself"Carly yelled and Ryan began to cough.
Gwen gave him a glass of water ."Sorry"Gwen said as Ryan emptied the glass of water .
Carly put a hand over her mouth trying hard not to laugh.
"Thanks"Ryan sighed and turned to Carly glaring at her.
"What?"Carly giggled
"Okay, time to go"Isabella said
"You're coming too?"Ryan asked
"No, you too go with the driver. Gwen's coming with me"Isabella replied "Come on darling let's go"
"Okay mum"Gwen got up and took her school bag with her.
"See you in school"Ryan waved
"Hurry up am waiting"Carly leaned back on her chair.
"What do you know about Gwen?"Ryan asked after Gwen and Isabella had left.
"I know a little, why'd you ask?"Carly staired at her brother.
"Nothing "he replied"Am full we can go now " Ryan got up."I'll call the driver "Ryan said
"No need he's waiting in the car "Carly picked up her school bag.
Ryan picked up his backpack and followed Carly to the car.
Isabella registered Gwen at the school Carly and Ryan attended and she was excorted to her class room by a teacher.
When all walked into the class room all eyes were on her and it made her feel nervous.
"Good morning class"the teacher greeted.
"Morning Mrs Pamela"the whole class responded and some of the class members made their way to their seats."this is our new student... what's your name again?"
"Gwen, Gwen Smith "
"Class this is Gwen"she turned to Gwen"go take a seat "
Gwen walked towards a girl who was sitting close to an empty seat."Can I seat here?" Gwen asked politely .
"Sure "the girl smiled sweetly at her
Gwen sat down and glanced at the girl "Thank you"Gwen smiled back "What's your name?"Gwen asked.
"Serra "
"Nice to meet you Serra am Gwen"
"I like your blonde hair"Serra said touching Gwen's hair
"Thanks I like yours too"Gwen smiled shyly
"Hey "someone tapped Gwen's shoulder and she turned to see who it was.
"Hi ....."
"Am Mark"a boy about her height stood before her and strength out his for a hand shake.
"Nice to meet you..... Mark..."someone cut in before she could finish.
"Are really Carly's cousin ?"a girl asked
"Uh-huh "Gwen nodded
"They look nothing alike "another girl added
"Are they supposed to?"Serra snapped back
"Why is she fat?"a guy asked and most of the class laughed .
"Everyone to your seat"a teacher walked into the class room and everyone rushed to take their seat.
At 12:15 pm the bell rang for lunch break. Serra took Gwen's hand and they left for the cafeteria together with Mike following closely behind them.
Ryan and his friend walked into the cafeteria as they (Gwen and Serra) where buying lunch.
"Look"Serra nudge Gwen "he just walked into the cafeteria "
"Who?"Gwen looked around.
"Ryan"Serra shirked
"Ohh, him"Gwen exhaled
"Come on let's seat here"Serra took Gwen's hand and drew her along . They sat at a table across where Ryan and his friends were seated.
Gwen staired at her meal and taught of her mum .Serra was too busy admiring Ryan and didn't notice Gwen moping around but Mark did .
"Why aren't you eating?"
"Am not hungry"
"People like you are always hungry fatty "Jojo said as she passed by with her group of friends and they all laughed at Gwen.
"Don't take it to heart she's kidding"Serra said
"Who is she?"
"You don't know?"
"I don't"
"Jojo's the sister of the head cheerleader Helen and Ryan's girlfriend....."Serra said"I'll kill to be in her shoes "
"That's a little too much Serra "Mark told Serra
"She's so cool "Serra sighed
"I didn't know Ryan had a girlfriend"Gwen scratched her hair.
"You're joking "Serra laughed
"Enough talking let's eat "Mark said
After lunch break at 12:50 pm Serra and Mark gave Gwen a tour of the school , Serra introduced Gwen to someones of her friends.
"So what team would you like to join"Mark asked as the three of them walked down the hall way .
"Join the swim team"
"I can't swim"
"Well that's not a surprise "Serra sneer
"You can join the cooking club or chess club or poetry club."Mark suggested.
"I'll ask Carly she might have an idea for me"Gwen replied
"I need to use the restroom you two can go to class I'll be there in a jiffy "Serra rushed to the restroom.
After school Isabella's driver can to pick up the kids. During the ride home Carly began asking Gwen questions.
"How was your first day?"Carly asked
"Not bad"Gwen said
"You made any friends?"Ryan asked
"Yeah, Serra and Mark"Gwen replied "they are really nice to me"
"Cool "Carly smiled
"Ugh.... Mark really "Ryan sighed
"Is something wrong?"Gwen asked
"Yeah, everything"Ryan yelled
"Don't mind him he has been beefing with Mark every since he lost a spelling-B"Carly laughed "Ryan's team lost it was hilarious"
"It's not funny Carly "Ryan said
"It is, right Gwen?"Carly turned to Gwen
"No offense but it's not"Gwen said
"Thank you "Ryan glared at Carly.
