The Poet and the Peasant

Synopsis:



The operetta unfolds in a small village where two seemingly contrasting characters become central to the plot: a humble peasant named Peter and a pretentious poet named Hubert.



Act 1:

The story begins with Hubert, the poet, arriving in the village. He is pompous and self-important, hoping to find inspiration for his next great work. The villagers, including Peter, are skeptical of Hubert’s lofty airs. Meanwhile, though a simple man, Peter is beloved by the villagers for his down-to-earth nature and charm.
