Chapter 47

Harper glared daggers at the blonde woman, but behind her, Rita tugged at her coat. “Harper, let's go.”

But Harper stayed put, baring her fangs, a low growl forming in her throat.

The girl stiffened for a moment, not expecting Harper to threaten her. But her eyes widened as she felt Harper's aura.

Rita looked at the two girls who seemed to be holding each other at gunpoint. Harper stood her ground, unmoving, before Rita noticed a nail salon right next to them.

“Harper! Honey, let's go get our hair and nails done!”

She practically dragged Harper to the salon and fished out the credit card from Harper's bag to hand to the attendant at the door. Seeing Rita's worried face made Harper try to calm down and suppress her anger.

After inhaling and exhaling, Harper smiled at the attendant. “My mother and I would like a haircut and our nails done.”
