The priest’s voice was grim. "Because they defy the gods. They summon horrors that devour worlds. It is not just power—it is corruption given form."  

A student hesitated. "But could one not use that power for—"  

“Silence!” The priest’s eyes burned with fervor. “There is no redemption for a summoner. And now, they speak of the worst of them all—a Summoner of Shadows. A heretic who will plunge the world into eternal darkness. He is the epitome of evil, and when he rises, he will destroy us all.”

"Can you give me more information about it first?" Cedric asked with curiosity as he stared at his system. He didn't want to be rash in his decision, and he wasn't in a hurry since the entity didn't seem hostile.

Cedric was speechless since the system had this function for him, but nonetheless was glad that he asked. The moment he accepted the identification, a portion of his mana vanished, almost leaving him with none.

"Whoa. Is this the reason it didn't do the identification without my consent?" Cedric was surprised. A new screen appeared in front of him with a loading icon.
