Hurtful Words

Lexi stood alone in the bathroom, tears streaming down her face. Priscilla's harsh words had cut deep, and she couldn't shake off the feeling of being unwanted.

She felt like she was an outsider, a gold digger who didn't belong in Julian's world.

Just then, the door opened, and Julian walked in, concern etched on his face.

"Lexi, what's wrong?

"I was looking for you everywhere."

Lexi tried to compose herself, but the tears kept falling. "Priscilla...she said some really hurtful things," she stammered.

Julian's expression darkened.

"What did she say?"

"Don't bother. Julian."Lexi replied.

"I insisted, Lexi."Julian said again.

Lexi hesitated, not wanting to repeat Priscilla's cruel words. But Julian's gentle prodding encouraged her to open up.

"She said I'm a gold digger, that I'm only after your money...that I don't belong here," Lexi sobbed.

Julian's face twisted in anger.

"That's not true, Lexi."

"You're the only one who truly understands me."

Priscilla's just jealous because I'm spending more time with you now than with her."

Lexi shook her head, feeling a pang of doubt.

"But what if she's right?

"What if I am just a trophy for you, someone to show off to your friends?"

Julian's eyes locked onto hers, his gaze intense.

"Lexi, you're the one I want to be with."

"You're the one who makes me happy. "

"Don't let Priscilla's words get to you."

Lexi's heart ached, wanting to believe Julian's words.

But, Lexi forced a smile as she bid farewell to Julian's parents, her eyes avoiding Priscilla's piercing gaze.

"Thank you for having me, Mr. and Mrs. Blackwood.

"I'll come visit again soon."

Mrs. Blackwood's face was warm with a smile.

"Anytime, Lexi. "

"Take care of yourself, dear."

Lexi nodded, her eyes welling up with tears. She couldn't wait to escape the tension-filled atmosphere.

As she turned to leave, Priscilla's voice cut through the air. "Yeah, take care of yourself, gold digger."

"Priscilla stop this rubbish now."Julian shouted at her sister.

Lexi's heart stung, but she refused to react. She kept her head high and walked out of the mansion, Julian's eyes following her.

"Lexi, wait!" Julian called out, but she quickened her pace.

She didn't stop until she was safely beside his car,

Tears streamed down her face as she pulled over to the side of the road and took a cab that drop her at her apartment.

Why did Priscilla's words hurt so much?

She knew she wasn't a gold digger. She loved Julian for who he was, not his wealth.

But the seed of doubt had been planted, and Lexi couldn't shake it off. She felt like she was walking on thin ice, unsure of her place in Julian's life.

As she wiped away her tears, Lexi knew she needed to focus on her work. She had a string of events to organize, and she couldn't let her personal life get in the way.

She would prove to herself and everyone else that she was more than just a pretty face. She was a force to be reckoned with.

Lexi threw herself into her work, determined to push aside the doubts and fears that lingered in her mind. She spent long hours at the office, organizing events and meetings with precision and flair.

Her colleagues noticed the change in her, the way she seemed to be driven by a newfound passion.

"Lexi, you're on fire!" her colleague exclaimed, impressed by her dedication.

But despite her success, Lexi couldn't shake off the feeling of uncertainty. She felt like she was living in a bubble, waiting for it to burst.

One evening, as she was leaving the office, she ran into Julian. He looked handsome and charming, his eyes sparkling with warmth.

"Lexi, I've missed you," he said, his voice low and husky.

Lexi's heart skipped a beat, but she kept her cool.

"Julian, I've been busy with work."

Julian's eyes narrowed, his face serious.

"I know you're avoiding me, Lexi. But I want you to know that I'm not giving up on us."

"We need to talk."

Lexi sighed, feeling a sense of resignation.

"Fine, Julian. Let's talk."

They sat down at a nearby café, the tension between them palpable. Lexi knew that she had to confront her fears, to face the doubts that had been plaguing her.

"Julian, I need to know that you're serious about me," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

"That I'm not just a passing fling."

Julian's eyes locked onto hers, his gaze intense.

"Lexi, I promise you, I am all in. I love you, and I want to be with you."

"Try and forget about what happened between you and my sister."Julian said.

"It's you that my body and soul belongs to."Julian said looking straight into Lexi eyes.

Lexi's heart fluttered, her doubts slowly fading away. Maybe, just maybe, she could trust Julian after all.

Lexi's eyes searched Julian's face, seeking the truth.

"But what about Priscilla's words?

"She said I'm a gold digger, that I'm only after your money."

Julian's expression turned somber, his voice filled with conviction.

"Lexi, Priscilla's words were cruel and untrue. You are the one I want, not your bank account.

"I promise to always support and cherish you, no matter what."

Lexi's heart swelled, her doubts slowly dissipating.

"I want to believe you, Julian. But it's hard to shake off the feeling that I'm not good enough for you."

"Am not after your money or wealth, Julian, but I love you."

"You are the man who disvirgined me, first man in my life."Lexi replied sobbing silently.

"Lexi, please calm down,am at your side,no matter what happens."Julian reassured Lexi.

Julian's eyes softened, his voice filled with compassion.

"Lexi, you are more than enough. Your kindness, intelligence, and beauty captivate me.

"I want to be with you, not despite your flaws, but because of them."

Lexi's face flushed, her heart racing with excitement.

"Really?"

Julian nodded, his smile warm. "Really. And to prove it, I want to take you on a ride.

As they stood on the beach, the waves crashing against the shore, Lexi felt like she was in a dream.

"I'm so grateful for you," she said, her voice filled with emotion.

Julian's eyes locked onto hers, his face filled with love.

"I'm grateful for you too, Lexi. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me."

Julian's words echoed in her mind,

"I love you too, Lexi. Forever and always."

She smiled, her heart full of joy. "Forever and always," she repeated, her voice barely above a whisper.

Julian's eyes sparkled, his face lit up with a warm smile. "Forever and always," he whispered back, his lips brushing against hers.

They kissed, the stars shining bright above, the waves crashing against the shore. It was a moment Lexi would never forget, a moment that would stay with her forever.

As they pulled back, Julian's eyes locked onto hers, his gaze intense. "Lexi, I want to spend the rest of my life making you happy.

"Will you be my girlfriend?"

Lexi's heart skipped a beat, her eyes shining with tears.

"Yes, Julian. Yes, a million times yes."

Julian's face lit up, his eyes shining with joy.

"Really?"

Lexi nodded, her smile wide.

"Really."

Julian pulled her close, his arms wrapping around her waist. "I promise to always love and cherish you, Lexi. Forever and always."

Lexi felt like she was floating on air, her heart full of happiness. She knew that she had found her soulmate in Julian, and she was grateful for every moment they spent together.

As they walked back to the car, hand in hand, Lexi felt like she was walking on cloud nine. She knew that their love would last a lifetime, and she was excited for every moment they would share together.

"Julian," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Yes, Lexi?" he replied, his eyes locked onto hers.

"I love you," she said, her heart full of emotion.

Julian's face lit up, his eyes shining with joy. "I love you too, Lexi. Forever and always."

Lexi and Julian's relationship blossomed, their love growing stronger with each passing day.

They spent every spare moment together, exploring the city, trying new restaurants, and just enjoying each other's company.

Mrs. Catherine Blackwood looked at her husband with a serious expression.

"We must keep this a secret, dear. Julian must not know about it."

Mr. Blackwood nodded in agreement. "Of course, my dear. "

"We'll keep it between us for now."

They glanced around the room to ensure no one was listening.

"We need to keep a close eye on him, especially now that he has a girlfriend," Mrs. Blackwood added.

Mr. Blackwood raised an eyebrow. "That girlfriend of his, I don't even know where they met. I'm curious..."

"She's an event planner," Mrs. Blackwood replied. "And you know Julian always organizes charity galas. "

"They probably met during one of those events."

Mr. Blackwood nodded thoughtfully.

"Yes, that's possible. "

"Let's just wait and see... time will tell soon enough."

They both chuckled, sharing a knowing glance.
