GREEN MEADOWS

The students slowly stirred from their seemingly eternal slumber, their senses gradually coming back to life. As they blinked and took in their surroundings, confusion etched across their faces. The environment around them was unlike anything they had ever seen—a vast grassland and open meadow, where the horizon seemed to stretch on endlessly.

One of the students, still disoriented, broke the silence. "Hey! Where are we? Do you have any idea what's going on?"

Another student nearby shrugged and replied, "Who do you think I am? The owner of this place?"

"I think we've been isekai'd," one student said, looking around. "I was expecting a guide to appear, but I have no idea where they are. Maybe they got lost?"

"Be realistic," another student snapped. "This isn't a fantasy novel. Don't indulge in delusions."

"Then how do you explain us being teleported here?" the first student retorted.

As the students argued, Natalie, the class monitor, stepped in. "Guys, calm down. We need to stick together and find a way out of this. We've avoided the test, so let's not panic. And remember, we have Luis with us."

Natalie was strikingly beautiful, with long auburn hair, bright green eyes, and flawless skin. Despite her appealing appearance, her nature was sharp and condescending, a reflection of her privileged upbringing in a wealthy family. She was class goddess despite that no boys approached her as Luis announced her as his love interest. By this she gained more control over her classmate.

"Yeah, Natalie's right," another student chimed in with a grin. "With Luis here, we could probably even slay dragons, hehe."

Student looked up to Luis and began to organize themselves, the air of uncertainty started to lift, replaced by a sense of determination and camaraderie.

The whispers grew softer, filled with hopeful plans and quiet reassurances, as they set off into the vast, uncharted meadow.

"Is this heaven?" Samuel wondered aloud, his voice tinged with disbelief. "No, it can't be. I wouldn't end up in heaven—I broke the promise I made to my mother." As he opened his eyes, Samuel was taken aback to find himself surrounded by his classmates, all in a setting of lush, green meadows stretching as far as the eye could see.

One of Luis's friends spotted Samuel among the crowd. "Hey, Luis, look who we have here!" he called out, excitement in his voice. Luis turned, a predatory smirk spreading across his face. "Well, well, if it isn't Samuel," he said, his tone darkly amused. "I was just about to look for you." Samuel's heart pounded as he scanned his classmates, silently begging for help, but everyone turned away, ignoring his plight. In a panic, he tried to back away, but Luis's goon quickly grabbed him. Luis approached, his grin widening as he saw Samuel's fear. Samuel closed his eyes, bracing for what was coming, his breath coming in shallow gasps.

As Luis pulled back his punch, a few letters began to float in midair, capturing everyone's attention.

[WELCOME TO TUTORIALS]

The students gathered around the floating message, which soon vanished in a swirl of dust. Another set of words materialized:

[COMPLETE THE TASK TO SURVIVE]

"'Complete the task to survive,'" one student read aloud, his voice tinged with frustration.

"We can read too, you idiot," another replied, clearly annoyed.

"Let's get these tasks done quickly and get out of here," someone suggested.

"First, we need to figure out what the task is," Natalie said, stepping forward to take charge. She gathered everyone together, her tone firm and focused.

As she spoke, a new, game-like window appeared in front of them, offering further instructions.

Task 1. Choose weapon

Task 2. Kill the monster

Task 3 .???

For a moment, everyone stood in stunned silence, grappling with the situation.

A boy suddenly leaped up with excitement. "Weapons! Like guns and rockets?"

Another student asked, "But where are they? They're not just going to fall from the sky, right?"

As if in response, a game-like window appeared in front of everyone, displaying the message: "Choose your weapon."

When they clicked on it, three options appeared: Sword, Bow, Spear.

"I was kinda hoping for a machine gun," the boy who had wished for guns muttered to himself with a look of dissatisfaction.

Despite his disappointment, everyone else started selecting their weapons, each preparing for whatever came next. Samuel also clicked on "Choose the Weapon."

He selected the sword, even though he had no idea how to use one.

The system responded with a message: "Congratulations! You have picked the Tutorial Sword. This item is bound to you."

"Hey, Luis, why did you pick a bow?" one of the students asked. "Isn't it better to choose a sword or a spear?"

Luis glanced over with a smirk. "Are you teaching me now? Besides, I can always get one later." He gestured toward Samuel. "For now, I need that sword." Luis approached Samuel and commanded, "Hand over your sword."

Samuel hesitated. "But you already chose your weapon."

Luis raised an eyebrow. "What if I run out of arrows? Will you be responsible? Aren't we friends?"

Realizing resistance was futile, Samuel reluctantly handed over his sword, his eyes filled with frustration and resignation.

The system flashed once more, displaying a new message: "Monsters are appearing. Hunt them down!" The words hung in the air as the students glanced around, their previous confusion giving way to a sense of urgency.
