"There are millions of criminals committing worse crimes than mine. Why am I being punished?" Erik retorted.



"Because you stole a novel from a man who used to be a hero and died protecting the planet."

"Hello, fraud. Live in a world as me, the pathetic hero you described, and I will be your greatest adversary, the demon lord," Rome proclaimed with a chilling smile.



In this novel, Erik is reborn as the hero of the stolen tale, but the demon lord Rome and the Gods won't allow him a moment's peace.



Because who wouldn't?



Erik stole a novel from Rome, God's favored child. He plagiarized it, catapulting himself to the position of the world's top novelist while Rome spiraled into despair, ultimately ending his own life.



For Rome, the novel wasn't just a collection of words. It was a universe where he had lived through triumph and sacrifice, where every character and plot twist had been a part of his own existence.



As a former hero, Rome made a wish to the Gods. He yearned to be reborn as the demon lord in the same world where he had met his end at the hands of the demon lord, with Erik reincarnated as the hero destined to fall by the demon lord's hand.
