The Beginning of My Adventure II

I opened my eyes slowly. A beautiful and gentle face greeted me, filled with sunlight filtering through the window.

My eyes narrowed, trying to understand what was going on. However, before long, she was immediately shocked.

"Good morning," said Hera with her gentle smile.

I felt stiff. Remembering that this woman, Hera, claims to be my mother.

"Hello?" I answered uncertainly.

Hera tilted her head, showing a confused expression accompanied by a small laugh, "What's wrong with you?"

I looked at Hera's face. This woman was her mother, her family in this world. A word whispered in her mind—family. I remembered her old family who's abused each other, the messy memories she didn't want to touch again.

However, something felt unusual. My hair, my body, everything was different. I darted towards the large mirror in the corner of the room. I was surprised to find a figure with purple irises, long wavy hair, and pale skin wearing a plain white dress.

"It is me?!" I whispered shockly, touching my cheek.

Hera who was watching me looked confused. "What's wrong with you?"

I fell silent, processing a reality that seemed impossible. "Did I was reincarnated?!"

I tried to slap his cheeks, making sure this wasn't a dream. "Ouch! It hurts!"

Hera approached me with a worried face. And a little of laugh, "Awaii, what are you doing?"

I shook my head and tried to remain calm, even though the thoughts in my head kept racing. Hera then took her out of the room to the kitchen table.

" You better eat now than thinking about the changes on your body." she said calmly.

There, Hera served two bowls of cereal, a glass of milk, and apple slices. "Yesterday you were told not to leave the house. Why are you didn't listen to me? Gladly I cane," she grumbled as she poured the milk.

"Wait, what's going on?" I asked her.

Hera sighed. "That man want to kidnap you."

"Huh? Why do he want to kidnap me?" I looked at Hera curiously.

Hera smiled faintly. "Because you have great power. They want your power."

"Power?" I raised my hand, trying to summon magic, but nothing appeared.

"Wait, I know something." I muttered confusedly. Weirdly, I don't know why I feel like I remembered that my blood was my energy source.

I then scratched my finger slightly with the knife, and white-hot flames appeared, healing the wound.

"Ouch." I hissed and look at my hand.

Hera smiled seeing that. "Amazing!! Uh..but be careful. It's look like the source of your magical energy is blood. If your blood runs out, I guess bad things will happen."

"Woah, I didn't even have to tell you first to you to know." I praised Hera and impressed with her, "Then what about your magic?"

Hera snapped her fingers. A star-shaped translucent rib appeared in her hand, surrounded by small white balls that kept appearing and disappearing.

"This is a constellation badge. Mama is a constellation."

"Constellation?" I raised my eyebrows.

Hera nodded. "In this world, those who can use magic are called The Stars. They are divided into 12 types. Eight are the new star : Elementalist, Shadow Mage, Healer, Archane Scholar, Illusionist, Alchemist, Beastmaster, Craftmage."

"The remaining four are the constellations : Luminosis (Light), Chronomancer (Time), Soulbinder (Soul), and Lifebringer (Life)" She continued.

"So, depends on your lightly arrow, Hera is a Luminosis?" I answered her explanation.

Hera smiled. "That's right. It turns out you're smart too, huh. Then, try answering mom's question."

"What?"

"You were reincarnated, right?"

Ctar!

I was shocked instantly. How did Hera know?

"How—"

"It's true." Hera interrupted, "Your character is very different from the person who previously occupied this body. I know it since the first time you used your magic. The previous person can't use that magic since magic choose the soul not the body."

I looked at Hera attentively. What really happened? There should be no way he could know. Or, is reincarnation a common thing in this world?

She just smile. And for a moment, her smile is look terrifying. Did she's really a good person just like her appearance?

"Someone told Mama about this," Hera then laugh.

"Who...?" I asked her.

"Someone from the future."

"How much do you know about me..?" I'm confused.

Hera stood up and walked towards the kitchen window, looking out.

"Mama won't tell you. But someday, you'll understand," she said, turning to look at me while glancing at the clock, "But remember this, you're not the chosen one, you're just a normal person, so don't be proud of your strength. Those power is a curse."

"Oh my~, I can late if not leave now. Mama has to go to Akademia. Be careful if you want to go out." She put on her white outerwear before saying goodbye, then got out and drove her car.

"Welcome to the Violet Kingdom, dear Awaii." She said one last time before leaving.

I was still standing at the door of the house, still shocked, looking at Hera who was leaving. What's all this? What really happened? What this world keeps a secret from me.

What a strange fantasy world.

I looked at my real home page. A gentle breeze blew past me. The sunlight warms my face.

I went down the stairs from the upper courtyard balcony to the main courtyard. This house is really strange. It doesn't even have a neighbor. It was built inside a cliff anyway.

My eyes sparkled. What I saw was truly extraordinary. I slowly walked towards the fence of the house that was as high as my chest.

"Wow.."

In front of me now lay a very wide meadow filled with thousands, maybe even millions of pink tulips surrounding a giant apple tree in the middle of them.

The chirping of sparrows flying here and there adds to the atmosphere of tranquility that I feel.

I also crossed the asphalt road in front of the house which is bordered by an iron fence because of the detour uphill.

"So pretty!" I said while touching the tulips in admiration.

I immediately jumped over the fence and ran towards the giant apple tree. The wind hit me again. Swoosh!

"Wohoooo!!" I screamed.

So this is the feeling of freedom?

Arriving at the apple tree I took shelter and looked at all the flowers that were displayed beautifully.

Ah, if only I had brought a canvas, I could have painted this scene. But for now, I can just look at it.

Crack. From the top of the tree came the sound of a branch breaking. I was suddenly shocked. My eyes narrowed and I stepped back, wary of what was happening. I focused my gaze, but I couldn't see anything because the leaves of this tree were too dense.

An object fell. Unfortunately I didn't have time to dodge, causing the object to hit my forehead.

Knock. I fell backwards and then slipped. Something heavier then fell on me. Followed by a loud thud.

"Augh!!" I shrieked.

"Ow." Someone grunted.

My eyes immediately opened. Staring at the object in front of me that had just fallen on me. A 3 x 3 rubik made of steel looks like it has been split because only half remains. Each line between the boxes emits a blue light.

A twig suddenly fell right in front of my face. Surprised me half to death.

I touched my forehead which felt painful. I was very lucky that I wasn't injured. I tried to get up, but my body felt very heavy. I turned to my back.

There was a boy lying on top of me in a supine pose. He groaned in pain.

"Bro, you're so heavy! Can you stand?!" I shouted.

Oh my gosh. Look at this kid. Even though he had just fallen from an apple tree, he seemed fine. His face showed no indication of pain. Very relaxing.

He even sat on top of me while holding his back and head. His face looked back at me. His face looked very annoying. His expression seemed to say "Huh? What the hell?"

I narrowed my eyes, looking at him with annoyance. I really want to say words of wisdom. But I restrained myself.

"The cube." He said suddenly.

"Huh?" I answered confused.

"Stupid girl." He said in a sarcastic tone.

"HA?????"
