Chapter 6

Hitoshi looked down at the dark, brown stain that covered his shirt, his face laced with a look of slight disgust, annoyance, but mostly understanding.

"Sorry."

I stammered out as I grabbed a napkin from the table, using it to dab at the maroon colored spot on his shirt.

Hitoshi just smiled slightly, taking the napkin from my hand as he cleaned himself up.

"It's no big problem, Isaac."

His voice had a more neutral tone than usual, indicating he didn't feel much about the mess, he would probably take the shirt down to the dry cleaners after we leave.

"Let's get out of here."

He said as he stood up, towering over me. He reached his hand out, letting me take it. I looked him in his eyes, a tiny bit of impatience was on his face, so I took his hand while letting out a big stretch.

"Let's go."

He repeated as he opened the cafe door, the tiny bell above the door rung gently as we stepped out, a few cherry blossom leaves graced the scene from the trees that contained to sway on the breeze.

We started down the sidewalk and back towards the U.A dormitory building, but that's when I remembered that I don't have a dorm room for me to stay in.

"I don't have a dorm room."

I suddenly said out-loud, causing Hitoshi to turn towards me and nod slowly.

"I'll talk with the principal about it, if we can't get something ready soon you can always stay in mine for the time being."

Hitoshi offered, tugging at the grips of his backpack as he nudged me on the elbow.

"Really now."

I questioned him

He calmly nodded in a simple reply.

"Well...thank you."

My voice got more soft and filled with gratitude, happy that this boy I met 2 hours ago offered me a spot in his dorm for the time being.

"But you'll have to pay rent."

Hitoshi included as he chuckled softly, nudging me once again.

"I do?"

Hitoshi just laughed a little louder.

"I'm joking, dumbass."

Upon knowing that I felt relief, my family wasn't really on top of their expenses for the most part, we could barely pay rent and were forced to live inside a small apartment for shelter, which wasn't much of a problem because they were only 3 of us, me, my mother and my father.

"Good...I'm too broke to pay that."

I joked.

"But I didn't say the cost to begin with."

Hitoshi added on.

"Well...are you the type of person to charge large amounts for a small living space? Except...you're not the school...I don't know if the dorms are free or need monthly payment."

I asked Hitoshi, which caused him to fall silent for a few moments.

"I'm not sure, I'll ask principal Nezu."

"Well...if they are monthly payments I think I'll need to talk to you about rent in your dorm."

I joked.
